1 - The First Sign

~Ash's P.O.V.~

     I sit in the corner of the den, watching as the rest of our pack dances around, drinking and laughing and having a good time. Smiling slightly, I swish the drink around in the cup in my hand, a bit bored and anxious. We just got back, everyone's doses just started to work and they're already partying? Aish, what am I going to do with these idiots. Don't really want to deal with 23 hangovers tomorrow.

    Sighing, I continue to watch the others until I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist. "Baby~" I hear a deep voice hum in my ear, "What's wrong?" Smiling a bit more I lean my head back to my mate's shoulder. "Nothing Chanyeol, it's okay." He sits behind me, his legs on either side of me and his arms around my waist, leaning his head back against the wall and pulling my back to his chest. "Look, you're a great liar, but you can't fool me. What's up?" I sigh. "It's just-"

     "AHHHHHHH WHAT THE HELL?????"

       Shooting up, I bolt outside, fear coursing through my body. "Tao?!?" "YAH YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME HUH??? WELL COME AND GET SOME!" I skid to a stop to see Tao, holding a stick spear in his hand and yelling angrily up at the trees. "Tao?" "YOU THINK YOU'RE SO BIG AND TOUGH, HUH, HIDING IN THE TREES?? COWARD! COME AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN!"

"Yah Tao you're like 5 chill," Kris says from his spot behind Tao, leaning against the wall of the den, "They weren't trying to hit you, they missed. And even if they were trying to aim for something, it could have been me." Tao ignores him and continues to yell until I roar loudly suddenly, causing him to scream and cower behind Kris. "AHH DON'T HURT ME I"M SORRY!"

      "What a man you are, huh."

     "Yah shut up Chanyeol, no one asked you."

      Rolling my eyes I look at the two before me. "What happened exactly?" "Some butthole threw a spear at me," Tao whines, standing up and pouting as he crosses his arms, "He missed by a few feet but still." "Butthole?" I look at Kris and he shrugs. "It just flew from the woods."

I look at Chanyeol standing besides me, raising an eyebrow. He shrugs, looking up at the trees as he shifts halfway, his ears, tail and eyes appearing. Closing his eyes, he breathes in deeply, holding it in before opening his eyes. "There's no scent," he says, sending a violent shiver down my spine at the deeper, more guttural tone to his voice, "Nothing to track." He looks at Kris and Tao, and the three of them exchange glances. I raise an eyebrow. "Am I missing something here...?"

All three look at me hurriedly.

"Ah, a-aniyo Jaygia!" Chanyeol exclaims.

"Bwo? What do you mean?" Kris asks.

"No! We're definitely not hiding anything!" Tao confirms.

"Tao!"

"Seriously dude?! Aish nice going!"

"I'm sorry! I panicked! What else did you expect me to do??"

I stand there, arms crossed and brow furrowed, watching as the three of them argue. Something's obviously up... Why would they hide it from me?

Sighing, I look down at the spear still embedded in the ground. Tilting my head, I squint my eyes, blinking a few times. Are those...

Words?

Confused, I grab the spear and pull it out of the ground, holding it in my hands. Tilting my head, I brush off the dirt on the handle before reading:

"그 손을 내밀어줘 save me.."
