The Unexpected Encounter

Chapter 7: Music

Monday

Now, I'm not going to school with Seungkwan and Vernon only. But also Soonyoung,Seokmin,Mingyu and Wonwoo. We're like a squad and people around us stares at us.

I don't mind being stared by others now. Thanks to Soonyoung, I enjoy my time with them and I don't want to care what the others thinks about anymore.

Soonyoung seems happy to see that I wasn't affected by all those attention, he is smiling at me.
"What?" I ask.
"Nothing." He then looks back to the front.

It's Music lesson. The teacher tells us to split into groups of 4 to do a project. So i end up being in a group with Soonyoung, Seokmin and Wonwoo.Usually I don't know what to do once I came across splitting into groups because no one would like to be in a group with me, but now I'm lucky to have them with me.

The teacher tells us to perform a song infront of the class next week.
The teacher shows us some examples by playing some covers the past students did.
"You can compose your own songs or maybe cover some songs that you like. Try to make your project as interesting as possible, it will help you to get higher grades." The teacher says and the bell rings.

Lunch

We gather around in the same table and have our meals together. Seokmin suddenly pops up a question.
"What song should we sing?" He asks.
"Don't choose some high notes song. I can't deal with it" Wonwoo replies.
"But also not too low keys song..." Soonyoung says.
"Then what song should we choose? It's difficult to find a song to fulfill our requirements..." Seokmin mutters.
"What high key low key?" Seungkwan asks.
"It's a music project that every year 2 need to do." I reply.
"I want to be in a group with you Wonwoo...." Mingyu says.
"Oh, come on Mingyu, you're not even in the same class with us." Seokmin interrupts.
"ㅠㅠㅠ I want to be in a same class with Wonwoo either..." Mingyu says with disappointment. Wonwoo gently pats his head and says "It's ok Mingyu, next year we wil be in the same class."

"So the project requires what?" Vernon ignores them and asks.
"Perform a song, but we are discussing. We have no idea." Soonyoung says.
"Then why not ask Jihoon hyung to compose." Seungkwan asks.

Wait. Did he just mention my name? Compose a song?

"Jihoon you can compose?" Soonyoung looks at me with amusement.
I nod my head slowly and Seungkwan says" Yes! Jihoon hyung's songs are so good, whenever I listen to his new songs I'm addicted to it!"
"Really? Maybe you can help us to compose!" Seokmin says.
"Jihoon, can you please?" Soonyoung asks me with his eyes blinking.
"Well, I'm not sure whether my style matches with you guys...Though I'm not refused in composing songs for us..."
"Great! Then let's go to Jihoon's home after school to listen to some of his songs!" Seungkwan exclaims.

After school
In Jihoon's house

"Why are you guys here?" I ask pointing at Seungcheol hyung,Jeonghan hyung,Joshua hyung,Jun, Minghao and Chan.
"I heard that Vernon is coming to your home so I brought them with me." Seungcheol hyung replies with a smile.

Great.
I swear if he isn't my hyung, I'll grab my guitar now.

"Jihoon hyung!!!!"
"What?" I reply.
"WHY GRANNY KNOWS SOONYOUNG HYUNG!" Seungkwan asks.
"Huh?" What the heck is he talking about?
"Granny gives Soonyoung hyung my favourite cake to eat ㅠㅠㅠ She even treats Soonyoung hyung better than meㅠㅠㅠ Granny! You don't like Seungkwanie now?" Seungkwan asks.
Granny wipes her hands with her apron and laughs "Hahaha, Seungkwanie how come granny doesn't like you. Granny loves everyone who would like to be friends with our Jihoonie. I'm just surprised when I see how close Soonyoungie is with our Jihoonie."
"Granny!" I says. Granny is embarrassing me right now...
Others are looking at Soonyoung and me with some weird face.
"What?" I asks.
"Nothing." Seungkwan replies.
He knows me well, if not what is waiting for him is my guitar.
