The Shadows

"Alex is that you?" I asked.

"Yeah it's me," he said," c'mon down," he said jumping down.

"Wait what are you...ughh," I jumped down after him and landed on the soft grass looking around for him.

"Psst, over here," he whispered and I looked towards his direction and saw that he was dangerously close to the woods.

"Dude, I think I saw something move over there," he whispered.

"IS THAT ALL YOU BROUGHT ME OUT HERE FOR!" I shouted/whispered.

"But it looked like a shadow," he said innocently.

"I don't care what it..." I stopped halfway through my sentence because I saw something move through the trees.

"What the?..." I walked towards the forest as Alex trailed behind me looking around like a coward.

*rustlerustle*

My head whipped back as I saw a small creature with big pointy ears point a bow and arrow to my face.

"Woah woah woah," I slowly pushed down its arrow and waved to show that I was friendly," I will not hurt."

It just stared at me and started muttered something," I not hurt u."

I tried understanding what it said then I realised that it was trying to repeat what I said.

"Do you know how to speak English?" I asked, it just looked at me blankly,"ughh this is pointless."

"Do u no how speak ingerish," it repeated cutely tilting its head.

"He's cute," Alex said behind me.

"Then why don't you keep him," I said sarcastically.

"Okay!" He grabbed it and tried running away with it but it bit his hand and ran back into the forest.

"Oww!" Alex cried," he bit me!"

"That's what you get for trying to grab hold of him and run away," I said.

As I looked back I noticed something else skipping through the trees and bushes as I went to my house.

I helped put a plaster on Alex's hand and said goodbye to him and went upstairs to go to sleep as I drifted away into my sleep...
