I get up straight away. I start snarling and growling, I feel the power radiate off him as he tries to make me submit.

We will not submit again, my wolf snarled.

Agreed, I reply snarling.

I let off a laugh which sounds like I was choking at the wolf mocking him. He suddenly sniffs in my direction and stops snarling and cocks his head to the side looking confused. As he did I got a better look at him. This wolf had pitch black fur but when he moved grey flecks reflected off his body. As quickly as he looked confused he then switched back to angry wolf. He leaped at me and knocked me to the ground. With all my strength I knock him off and quickly bounded on my paws. We circled each other and he launched at me but I was ready this time and jumped back. We continued to circle but the next move wasn't his, It was mine. I launched down low and bit down hard until I heard the bone crack and then quickly jumped back. He whimpered and crashed to the ground. He didn't get up but I knew this was a ploy but I didn't care. I plodded over to him and whimpered. And as I got really close he jumped up and took me to the ground and bit deeply into my flesh on my shoulder. I whimpered in pain and after I felt him get off me I looked straight in his eyes and pleaded for his help. As he saw my eyes his eyes flashed with shock and walked back over to me. He whimpered at me and nudged me to get up but the pain was too much and I blacked out.

When I opened my eyes I saw a naked man in front of me. I could tell I was still in my wolf form as I could feel her protecting me. The naked man reached down and stroked my head.

"I'm so sorry, mate," he said with such passion.

I whimpered and looked up at him to show him I didn't understand. He was my mate, the one I was destined to be with. My mother said I would be meeting my mate soon, but I didn't realise she meant today.

"Can you heal yourself?" he asked as he continuously stroked me head.

I shook my head and whimpered.

"Just think about the wounds healing and knitting together like glue. It should come naturally," he said soothingly.

I shut my eyes and imagined my shoulder whole again. I felt magic pulsing through my body as the warm sensation filled my body and when it was over I opened my eyes and looked into his eyes.

"Can you phase back," he asked.

I nodded. Well I think I can. I got up on all fours and did a circular motion with my head.

"Oh you want me to turn around, mate" he chuckled.

I nodded fiercely and he laughed again while he turned around. I imagined being human again. I felt the cool breeze on my body and knew it had worked. I just noticed how dark it had gotten. The moon was shining bright overhead and I quickly ducked behind a tree.

"Who are you and why are you calling me your mate?" I snapped. Even though I know I feel it in my heart I am still suspicious of this wolf.

"I am Jessie, and you are my mate, my other half, my missing soul," he said proudly.

"I am no one's mate, I don't even know this world, Ahhhhhhh!" I screamed.

"What do you mean about not knowing our world?" he asked.

"I mean I woke up this morning a freaking wolf and never knew I was one to begin with and then my Alpha or whatever broke my leg and then you ripped me to pieces. So forgive me if I sound a little dramatic but this day sucks!" I said sarcastically. I didn't think it was the right time to tell him that I was the moon goddess and sun god's daughter.
