Chapter 4

Jessie's POV

My father motions me to his office and I follow him. When I open the door, I see my little sister struggling against the beta and delta.

"Father what is the meaning of this!" I yell.

"I do not want you mating with that spawn of Doltan's, you will reject her or I will kill your mother's bastard child like I killed her," he smiled cruely.

My wolf howled inside me, battling with his decision. My heart broke knowing I had to reject my mate. I would beg for forgiveness to the moon goddess and hopefully when this is over I can have what's mine. Tears started running down my face as I said "I will reject my mate!". My father laughed in victory.

"Do it now, reject her and I will let your sister go," he said victoriously.

I, Jessie Keith, reject Jewel Erin as my mate, I said through our mind link.

Noooooooooooo! I heard her scream before she was shut out of my head forever.

"It is done," I whimper.

My father just starts laughing as he comes over to me and whispers,"You will do as I say" then punches me and my world goes black. Before I go into oblivion, I hear the moon goddess say "I'm sorry it has to happen this way, but have hope"

Jewel's POV

Noooooooooo!

Why would he do this to me. Am I not good enough for the likes of him. Is there something wrong with me. My wolf stayed silent but I knew she was taking this the hardest, All of a sudden she pushes through and I shift. She takes over my mind. It's like I'm watching a movie, I have no control over my body. I watch as my wolf breaks down my door.

Please stop this, I say to her

We need to find him, we need him, she replies

He rejected us, please calm down, I demand.

She ignores my pleading and plows through the corridor. Ruby stands in the middle of the hallway when she sees me barreling down the hallway.

Jewel what's happening, why has your wolf taken over, she mind linked me.

Mate........Rejected........Me, I push through to Ruby.

Ruby shifts into her wolf and blocks the corridor. My wolf snarls at her and easily knocks her out and starts running to the front door.

Jewel stop!!!!!!!!!! I know what he did but you gotta get back control of her, Dalton commanded.

I whip around and snarl at him. He shifts into his black wolf and lunges. But this time I have the upper hand. My wolf has full control, biting, scratching and snarling at our Alpha. Then I hear a shot fire out and something hit my hind leg. Dalton stops and I whip around to my mum holding a tranq gun. My wolf starts to fade, and so do I.

Jessie's POV
I wake up in a cell.  That bastard put me in the pack dungeons! I can't believe he made me reject my mate.  I look over to the other cell to see my sister cowering in a corner.  She is only 14 and already has to face the cruelty of the world. 
"Anna, are you awake?" I ask
"Yes Jessie," she whimpered. 
"Did he hurt you?" I growled softly.
"He......he raped me," she whimpered through tears.
"I will kill him!" I shout. 
Anna flinched and immediately I quieted down.
"I'm sorry Anna, I didn't mean to yell," I say softly reining in my anger. 
She stays quiet so I think she is asleep.
I lean back against the wall and close my eyes. My last thought was of Jewel before I fell into oblivion.

                           Jewels POV
I wake up and find myself in a cell.  I'm confused.  I can't remember what happened yesterday.  I tried to reach out to the mate bond and it hits me.  He rejected me. I start crying but I suddenly feel weird.  I reach out for my wolf and realise she isn't there.  I start to freak out. 
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY WOLF!" I screamed out. 
Doors banged open and I growled.  I see my earth mother and father as well as my "alpha" and I quit growling but continued to give them a cold stare. 
"Honey, it's alright.  Please calm down.  We had to suppress your wolf.  She was ripping apart the estate," my earth mother said with tears down her cheeks. 
I walk over to the bars of the cell and reach out to her.
"Please tell me she will come back.  I feel empty without her," I whimpered softly. 
"She will come back sweetie. It will wear off tonight.  But let's get you out of there and clean you up," my father said. 
"No! She is to stay in there until her wolf shows.  I'm sorry Jewel but we don't know if your wolf is calm enough yet to let you roam around the women and pups.  We will come back later," he ordered.
They turned without goodbyes and left the room.  I sat there for what felt like days waiting for my wolf to return. 
I growling inside my head.  My wolf was coming back and she wasn't happy.
