Fate can be cruel

Chapter 2

I shift back into my human self and my mother gives me a robe to put over my naked self. I walk up to the pack mansion and my mother, who has shifted and is wearing an identical robe, guides me inside and up to my new bedroom.
"All your clothes are in your wardrobe," my mother said shutting the door.
I look around and take a look at my new room. Smack bang in the middle of the room stands a massive four poster bed with matching wooden bedside tables on either side. The window was huge and there is French doors that lead me out to a balcony over looking the forest. I walk over to my wardrobe and pick out a simple pair of jeans and a black top and I get changed in my ensuite. Wow. I've never had an ensuite before. It was simple but that's how I like it. I heard someone knock on my door so I head over and open it.
"Omg finally!"squealed my best friend Ruby.
I slapped her in the face and let out a growl.
"Owwwww! What was that for!" She whimpered.
"You never told me about this!!" I snarled.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't. Our Alpha swore me into secrecy. I wanted to tell you so many times," she babbled.
"I'm sorry I hit you. Today's just been rough," I apologised.
"It's ok. I'm here to take you to your father," she stated and left my room.
I followed her right to the heart of the pack mansion weaving through corridors. We stopped outside the door and I exhaled loudly. The door opened and I saw my dad for the first time in 4 years.
Daddy, my wolf says in my head and I run to him and give him the biggest huge I could.
"Oh my sweet Jewel, my how you've grown,"he said with joy.
"Why did you leave me?" I asked with tears in my eyes
"The pack needed me and I didn't want you in this world until you shifted," he answered softly.
"But why, everyone else did?" I asked.
"Because, you are the next Alpha of the pack and we didn't want the neighbouring pack to kill you at a young age as they did with Daltons son,"he answered.
"Oh," I replied softly
" One other thing, your at the age where you will find your mate, but I believe yours will be in another pack, but he will be an Alpha too," he growled.
"Won't I have to move to his pack??"I asked
"No!!!" Snarled Dalton
I turned to See him standing behind me.
"You will be the next Alpha although you will be the first female so I don't know what our goddess has got in store with us," he continued.
" Alpha, what if her mate is within the pack we are at war with?" Asked Ruby.
"He won't!" Snarled Dalton
"Let's stop this mindless argument and get on to the main reason we are in this room," my mother says calmly. 
" Ahhh ok, yes the reason why we are here is I have an announcement to make, when Jewel turns 18, she will be the Alpha of this pack," he said nervously
"What!!!!!!" We all screamed. 
"It is my final decision!" He snapped
"Why though?" I asked
"Because, you are more dominant then me and it is your right to be Alpha." He replied.
Just a I was about to open my mouth a bright light flashed in the room and my world went black.

I woke up in a meadow filled with flowers that sparkled like diamonds in the moonlight.  I see a figure in the distance and I start walking over to it.  As I get closer I see a women  petting a wolf.  I stop and gaze into her eyes.
"My child, come sit with me," she said regally. 
"Wh-ho are you," I stammered.
"I am Selene, moon goddess and protector of werewolves," she announced. 
I walk over and sit by her.  She embraces me in a hug and the wolf licks me. 
"You are destined for great things, but a dark path you must take to reach your destiny.  On your 18th birthday you will not just become Alpha of your pack but you will be my beacon, you will help the packs restore balance and rid the world of evil," she explains. 
"Do I have a mate?"I asked
"Of course, none of my children live without there other half.  I suspect you will meet him sooner than expected but remember he will love you unconditionally although your beginning with him will be rough and will become the first male To take up a Luna position," She replied soothingly. 
"Why me?" I ask.
"You are my actual daughter Jewel, your earth mother adopted you when I laid you in her arms.  Your father is the sun, who will guide you through the day as I will through the night," she said with a tear in her eye. 
"Why did you mother, why did you give me up," I asked crying into her shoulder. 
"Because you have to fulfil your destiny, but that doesn't mean I love you any less.  Your true wolf self is hidden from the rest of the world until now.  You are the only silver and gold wolf.  Now go, and remember, I love you," she answered and I fell into the darkness. 

I open my eyes and everything in the room is how I left it. 
"I accept it as its my destiny, I am the daughter of the sun and moon and will do my best," I said cutting through the arguing   
"What are you saying Jewel?" Asked my mother. 
"My mother, the moon goddess told me she left me with you," I replied.
My earth mother started to cry and gave me a big bear hug. 
"I need to go for a run in my wolf form, can I go alone?" I ask Dalton. 
"Only if you stay in pack borders.  They're guards patrolling and will warn you off if you get to close," he replies.
I nod and walk out of the study and when I reach the front doors I start running into the woods. 
I shift not caring if I ripped my clothes.  My wolf wanted to be free.  I hear gasps as they see my wolf in her sliver and gold beauty but I run deep into the woods.  Not caring if anyone was following.  Until I collide with something hard, I am knocked to the ground and when I look up, I see a black and silver wolf snarling at me.
