Evalyn Elena's twin

Chapter 3

After I walk in I turn to tell the man Damon thank you and invite him in but he’s gone almost like he was never there at all

“Evalyn! Thank God you’re ok! Where in Hell were you? Do you know how worried we were?” Jenna yelled running up to me and hugging me then whacking me in the back of the head

“I’m fine I just decided to go for a walk to clear my head it was too loud and I may have gotten lost in the forest” I lied convincingly

“Have you fuckin lost it did you even think for once what could have happened!” Ty yelled and I was shocked he never yells at me

“I was going to stay with you Ty but you ditched me and left me for hours so I didn’t see a point in staying there I mean no offence but if you recall I didn’t want to go to the damn party to begin with but you two forced me and then the three of you ditched me so don’t even start!” I say now getting pissed

“Eva we thought you might have been with Vicky half the town is searching the woods for you” Elena said upset and I was confused

“What? What happened to Vick?” I ask turning to Ty and Jer

“There was another animal attack I was looking for her because she had been gone a while I didn’t realize you were gone too when I ran into him and he was looking for you we found her in the woods something bit her she lost a lot of blood and is in the hospital” Jer said and my knees gave out and Ty caught me from falling

“Is she dead?” I ask nearly in tears

“No but she lost a lot of blood and is in the hospital” He said and I nodded then Elena came and pulled me into a hug and was sobbing

“I thought I lost you tonight for the past hour I had to contemplate a life without you” she said and I awkwardly patted her arm not sure what to do until she stopped and Jenna had Stefan take her up to her room then he left after saying bye to all of us and Jenna went up to bed

“Tyler?” Jeremy said and I tensed up in his arms

“I’m not about to fight with you when your sisters in my arms” Ty said and I could tell he was trying his hardest not to call him a name

“I’m not going to pick a fight with you when Eva needs you” he says tightly

“Ok then what do you want?” he said a little harshly but I let it slide

“No matter how much I hate it you’re her best friend I say we shouldn’t fight when you’re here to see her just don’t hurt her and don’t fuck her” Jer says and I glare at him

“I’m right here you know” I say but they ignore me

“You got a deal Gilbert and just so you know I could never even think of hurting her like you said she's my best friend probably the one person I actually care about” he says and I pass out from exhaustion not even sure if I heard the last part of his sentence right my dream kinda reminded me of twilight or something there was vampires and these wolves with these glowing yellow eyes and words I was chanting words in a different language I woke up gasping for breath and some body was franticly shaking me

“Oh thank god I thought you were having an attack of some kind” Ty said sitting on the edge of my bed

“Uh no just a weird dream why are you in my room?” I ask looking at the alarm clock and seeing its 5am causing him to laugh

“You wouldn’t let me leave every time somebody tried to take you away from me you would cling to me and beg me not to let them take you away who are you scared of?” he asks and I blush

“I don’t know I don’t remember saying or doing that” I say and he laughs again

“Ok so who knows you’re here? Or do I have to sneak you out like that one time in 7th grade?” I ask and he shutters

“Pretty sure everyone does well maybe not Elena but Jenna and Jeremy should Jeremy tried to help me get you to let go of me and I’m pretty sure Jenna brought me a blanket at some point oh and my mother is probably ecstatic that I stayed here and not at the hospital with Matt and Vicky you know she loves you” he said and my eyes got wide his mom is a huge gossip if she knows that means by the time we get to school the whole town will know he was here tonight wither we did anything or not won’t matter they will only believe what they want

“Don’t give me that look I forgot to call her last night and make up a lie so she showed up here at about 3 wanting to know if you knew where I was Jeremy got the door and she was frantic I went down to see what was going on and she saw me” he said and I rolled my eyes

“Well prepare yourself for the rumors that are probably already all over town” I said and he nodded he wasn’t stupid he knows his mom gossips

“Why do you always bring up that time in 7th grade?” he whines after a minute and I laugh

“Cause it was funny” I say with a laugh and he eyes me weirdly

“Yeah I wouldn’t describe it as funny traumatic yet sweet maybe painful yes but not funny” he says shuttering and I have to laugh again it’s one of those things were we are the only two who know what really happened everyone else knows what we told them happened our cover story was that Ty was being stupid and wanted to see if he could jump from my window grab a tree branch and then land in a pile of leaves on the ground unharmed it wasn’t too farfetched and it was actually something Elena Matt and I have talked him out of several times so it was definitely believable but it is also a complete and total lie that not even Elena and Matt know because if they did know they wouldn’t act the same around us but that day will be forever engraved into my brain

*Flash Back to 7th Grade*

“Come on Ty it’s not like you haven’t been in my room before” I said frustrated I wanted to lie down on my bed but boys aren’t allowed in mine and Elena’s rooms when nobody’s home and my friend Ty choose right then to follow rules

“Eva your dad would kill me and you know it what good is a best friend if he’s dead?” he countered and I pouted and like always he gave in my room faces the back yard with a huge tree about 10 to 15 feet away and has a huge glass window I recently figured out how to open and a window seat other than us the only one home was Jer Elena and Matt were studying at his place so we went up to my room and I lied on my bed and watched Ty go to the window which I had forgotten to close all the way so he swung it open all the way and sat on the edge of the window seat his feet hanging over the house and I decided to join him we sat in silence for a few minutes

“Do you think Matt and Elena are secretly dating?” he asked and my eyes snapped to him

“If they are I’ll kill them for not telling me” I said and he laughed

“Naw but I’m for real think about it when was the last time they were really apart when they weren’t forced to be?” he asked and I laughed

“You can say the same thing about us though Ty” I said and he nodded getting my point

“Have you ever thought about us being more?” he asked

“I don’t know have you?” I asked and he gave me his famous smirk the one that could get him any girl he wanted and I had to smile back and before I knew it he was leaning in to kiss me and I froze and when his lips met mine it was perfect then he lifted me up and put me on his lap this was a bad move because we were still on the window seal and I started freaking out and accidently knocked him out the window he landed on the ground with a groan broke his right arm we had to deal with both of our parents telling us how stupid it was of me to let him jump out a window and him to actually jump

*End of Flashback*

 We were both grounded for 2 weeks and I had to write all his work for him in school till he got his cast off because according to my parents I should have stopped him if they had known we kissed I have a feeling we would have been in a whole different mess of trouble I mean Elena and Matt weren’t allowed to see each other for a month when mom saw him give her a peck after school about a week later
