Hi there my lovely readers!! I'm so so so so so so so so so so sorry that I didn't update last week! Even though I am out of school now I still am so busy! >~< I started summer school last week (I'm taking PE because I am a dance student at my school which gives me 1 PE credit but all students must take one PE course in order to graduate) and I also had a show for dance as well. Things have really just been hectic lately and I am so sorry that I haven't been able to update frequently. But! I do think that things will start to calm down again and I will be able to once again update weekly. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter!

Yun's POV
"Ahaha" Yona pants as she slumps down again a tree. It's been about a week since Huan joined us on our journey to find the Yang warrior. In that time, we have been attacked by bandits at least 4 times, got lost 6 times-- no thanks to Kija, and had run-ins with government soliders about twice.  And just a little while ago we barely escaped an angry swarm of bees that Kija accidentally swiped at while arguing with Hak.
"Great job White Snake" Hak glares at Kija
"I'm not a SNAKE!"
"What's wrong with snakes?" Huan glares at Kija, to which he glares back
"They slither on the ground with bugs!"
"Hmpf, at least the bugs are quiet"
"What's that supposed to mean?!?!?!?!?!" Huan just smirks and walks away

"Zeno's hungry" Zeno whines
I sigh at his comment, not feeling like arguing with him today, "Let's take a break then, it's almost mid-day"
"Shouldn't we keep going?" Huan protests
"Huan dear, we've been walking for hours now" Jae-ha puts a hand on Huan's shoulder
"Yes, but aren't we almost at the next village?" Huan shrugs Jae-ha's hand off and walks over to me
"Yes, but it's still a couple hours away and we will need to replenish our energy for the walk there" I respond as I start to unpack my cooking supplies
"But sitting around here is just asking for us to be attacked"
"We haven't had any problems with taking breaks in the forest before" I respond, "Hak, you and Kija go get us some firewood.  Yona and Jae-ha, go get us some water, I think I saw a stream a little ways back.  Shin-ah and Zeno, go look to see if there are any berries or grasses we can eat, and Huan stay here to help me cook"
"What?! Shouldn't I go with the princess?" Kija protests
"Come on White Snake listen to mot- I mean Yun" Hak says while dragging Kija away
"Come on Yona dear" Jae-ha and Yona start to walk away but just before they were out of sight, I saw Jae-ha turn around and wink at me.  I just scowled at him, trying to surpess a blush.
"Wahhhh!!!! Zeno's tired!" Zeno shouts
"Ugh! Stop being lazy you eternal 17-year-old!" I scold him before Shin-ah starts dragging Zeno away
Huan sighs while shaking her head, "What a lively bunch"
I sigh in respond while starting to cook.

For most of the time, the two of us worked in silence.  However, I noticed that Huan seemed to be on edge the entire time.
"Huan?" I ask suddenly, causing her to jump slightly
She sighs, "Sorry, what is it?"
My expression softens and I gently lay my hand on her's, "Is something bothering you?"
She sighs again while looking at the ground, "Do you know what the symbol of Yin stands for?"
I nod, "Darkness, the moon, and the cold"
"It also represents negativity, sin, and evil...."
"Huan, you're not-"
"But I am.  I'm sure you've noticed it, the others have as well.  Ever since I joined your group bad things have been happened, I'm certain that you haven't had this many attacks or strokes of bad luck before I joined." She pulls her hand away
"But that's what they are, strokes of bad luck.  It's not your fault that we're unlucky"
"Yun...." She sighs, "You know how I told you all that you were the first outsiders since my friend Kwang came" I nod, remembering what little she told us about him, "Well.... I lied..... Many people have visited the village, some of them merchants, but most of them were bandits or assassins, looking to take control of the power of the Yin warrior."
"But that's not your fault, it's not as if your location was very secret-"
"But it was my fault they came to the village.  The bandits weren't so bad.... Most of them were poor fighters and any villager with a pitchfork could take them out.  But the assassins... They were the worst.  They would kill villagers, take them hostage, and steal from those in the village.  And since Chung Lao was in power, the 'government' didn't help.  Sometimes the attacks would only last as few days, but others lasted several weeks to a month.  So many people were hurt... Were killed because of me.  This is a part of my curse.  Where ever I go, bad luck will follow me, and all those who try to stop this fate, will be killed." Huan's voice was shaky and her eyes were glossed over
"That's ridiculous, you didn't do anything to receive this fate, and your ancestor was a hero"
"That's where you're wrong.... My ancestor, the first Yin Warrior, she didn't make a deal with a God, like the dragons did, she made a deal with a demon.  And as punishment for this ultimate crime, every child with her blood must pay the price by sacrificing their life to be a puppet of this demon.  And there's nothing I can do about it..... It is a forever cycle of people seeking power and others dying.... Until I am driven insane and I die-"

I slapped her.  I had enough of hearing her spilling out this crazy talk of demons and being cursed that was probably fed to her by her mother before she was sent off to be executed.
"Stop it" I take her by the shoulders and look directly into her shocked eyes, "You are not cursed, I don't care what some crazy 10000 year old legend says.  Stop letting a crazy story that was probably told by a looney guy that praised chickens or something rule your life!  You are you Huan, not your ancestors, you are you.  A beautiful, smart, and resourceful young lady that I.... I...."

"We found the water!" Yona interrupts with Jae-ha close behind.  Huan and I immediately jump away from each other.
"I-It i-i-isn't wh-what it-"
"Good, we got all the stuff unpacked" Huan cuts me off, though she still had hints of pink on her cheeks, "Just set it down on the side"
"Okay!" Yona responds but Jae-ha walks over to me
"Heh.... Did you do it?" He smirks
"No... No thanks to you" I mumble with a obvious blush still on my face
"Heh, you don't have much time left" Jae-ha glances at Huan before turning back to me
I scowl at him before walking away to finish cooking.  "What a pain"
