Chapter Twenty One

Sky's POV

Jason stirred, and sat up with a groan. I rushed to over to help Seto lift him to his feet. Jason took a few steps, and then smiled.

"Thank you, I think I'm alright now," He said.

"Are you sure?" Seto asked. Jason nodded.

While Jerome and the rest of the Pack tried to comfort Mitch, and Skyler, Ryan, and Tyler stood awkwardly at the side, I pulled Jason and Seto to the side.

"Okay guys, I know now is not really the time, but I need to know. What happened to you, and how did you suddenly get here?"

Seto glanced sideways at Jason, before quickly turning away again. Jason sighed.

"I woke up in the pitch dark. The only light was a small circle of light in the distance. Seto had woken me up with his magic. I was in a coma of sorts, or so he tells me. We made our way to the light, which happened to be the exit to a cave, and then Seto used some spell so we could fly, and we made our way here as fast a possible." Jason explained.

"A cave? And you two were there, correct?" I asked.

They both nodded.

"So everyone else could be there too, yes?" I said.

Jason's eyes lit up.

"Yeah!" He cried.

I turned to Seto.

"Do you think you could find your way back there?"

Seto smiled softly.

"Oh, I'm sure we could manage, Sky."

"Okay," I said clapping my hands together, "Let's get the others."

We walked back to the rest of the group. Ty was gently massaging his arm, which Seto had quickly healed, and Mitch had calmed down. He was sitting in Jerome's lap, rubbing his red eyes.

"Guys, I have good news," I said. Everyone immediately looked up at me. "We think we found where everyone else is. Preston, Rob, Vikk, and Lachlan, if you're willing to join-"

"Wouldn't have it any other way," Vikk said with a smile.

"Awesome," I said. "Seto, if you show me where it is, and Ty, if you help me, I think I can teleport everyone."

"But I can only teleport myself-" Ty started to say, but Seto interrupted him.

"Just help him, Ty, give him magical energy. You too, Jason," Seto explained.

"Ohhhhhh," Jason and Ty said in unison.

"Okay, everyone in a circle, hold hands," I instructed. Everyone quickly formed a circle. From in front of me, and around the circle to the right, the order was;

Preston, Rob, Mitch, Vikk, Lachlan, Skyler, Jason, Me, Ty, Seto, Jerome, Tyler, and Ryan. I took a deep breath.

"Okay, Seto," I said.

"Shut your eyes," Seto instructed. I did as I was told.

Immediately, images flooded into my head. A tall, brown mountain, so tall that the upper part was dusted with white. A large opening was cut into the rock, and no more than a few feet into the cave, it became pitch black. My hands felt hot. I opened my eyes slightly to see both Jason and Ty holding my hands tightly. Where our fingers touched, purple and grey light danced. I shut my eyes again, and focused all of my will into teleporting. This was difficult. I vaguely remember teleporting myself when...I was....I killed...

I started to lose my focus. I could feel tears prickling behind my eyes. I murdered my friends. The realization of that finally sunk in. My grip on Jason and Ty's hands loosened, however, my teleportation was already in effect. Everything spun around me. I was ripped away from the circle, flying off into who knows where. I put all of my energy into getting the others to our destination. I don't know if I succeeded.

I really hope I did,

Tyler's POV

I woke up on the squishy ground. Mud caked the side of my face and my arms. I couldn't see straight.

My glasses!

I sat up, fumbling around. My hands closed over something hard. I pushed my glasses onto my face, rubbing the mud off of them. I looked around. I didn't see anyone else.

"Guys?" I asked softly, standing up. My sneakers sank a few inches into the ground.

No answer.

"Guys?" I said again, louder.

"Tyler?!" Voices shouted in the distance.

"GUYS!" I shouted, slowly making my way towards the sound.

"Tyler, talk so we can find you!"

"Okay, I'm in a muddy forest that's like....a swamp. Um...there are trees.....Tall trees...."

"Okay, we're coming," My friends' voices were louder now. I exited into a clearing, finally touching solid ground. I ran directly into Seto's arms.

With a gasp I pulled away from him, embarrassed.

"Tyler, thank Notch," Jason gasped. "The circle fell apart mid teleportation. We all got spread out. I think that's everyone now..."

Skyler did a quick head count, and then frowned.

"There's only twelve of us," She said. "Adam is missing."

"So Sky is- wait, did you just call Sky 'Adam'?" Ryan stopped mid sentence.

"Yeah. That is his name, correct?" Skyler answered matter of factly.

"Yeah, but-" Seto started to say, but Skyler cut him off.

"Sky was conducting the teleportation, from what I remember. Jason and Ty were giving him magical energy, and Seto was showing him the place which we were teleporting too," Skyler thought aloud.

"Uh huh," Seto said, "We actually teleported to very close to the correct spot."

"So something happened to Adam," Skyler continued.

"Again, w-" Ryan began, but like Seto, he couldn't finish.

"Jason and Ty, you were on either side of him, right?" Skyler went on.

"Yeah. It was like he...I don't know, just....let go," Jason said.

"Let go?" I asked, "Why would he let go?!"

"I don't know," Ty said, "But that's what it seemed like to me too. His hand let go of mine, so the only way we were connected was by my grip, and his hand shook for a few seconds, and then it was gone."

Everyone exchanged worried looks. What happened to Sky?
