*~*~*~*~*~*

Nagisa loves Butterfly. Absolutely loves them. Possibly more than he loves himself. No, definitely more than he loves himself.  To say seeing them isn't a dream come true for him would be a lie. To say he didn't wet his pants when he won a contest to get front row seats to see Butterfly would be an even bigger lie.

There was one member of the band that really stood out to him. Rei Ryugazaki. His voice could make the whole crowd start weeping. Nagisa knew from experience. It's the voice that makes him feel better while he's breaking; or the voice that makes him cry when he needs to. It's the voice that has kept Nagisa alive during middle school. The only thing that made him happy while studying. To him, Rei was much more than a voice on a recording, or an idol to look up to. Rei was everything Nagisa wanted to be. Most of all, Rei was real, and tangible. That's so much more than Nagisa could ever ask for.

"Nagisa, don't you have a concert to go to?" Nitori called from the couch of the apartment he and Nagisa shared.

"YES OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO BE LATE!" the next moment Nagisa was out the door, his wallet and tickets in hand.

He sprinted down the roads of Iwatobi, and looked around for the venue. It shouldn't be this far from his apartment. Pulling out his phone, he saw he still had fifteen minuted to spare. The venue was probably just down the road.

Once he finally found the venue, and got inside there was only two minutes to spare. Nagisa quick ran into the bathroom, fixing his hair and giving himself one last pinch to make sure he wasn't dreaming. Running to his seat, he got there just as the lights dimmed.

"Yo, Iwatobi!" a voice shouted from stage. Nagisa recognized it as Butterfly's bassist Rin Matsuoka, "It's good to be back in our home town, isn't that right boys?"

"Rin you're too loud," the guitarist Haruka mumbled into his mic.

"Haru aren't you glad to be home?"

"Not when your mom showed up back stage to pinch all our cheeks," the audience erupted in laughter.

"All joking aside, it's good to be back, in fact we're introducing our new drummer tonight!" more screaming from the audience.

"Now introducing, Makoto Tachinbana!"

Nagisa couldn't believe what he had heard. His best friend Makoto, who had moved to Tokyo a year prior, was Butterfly's new drummer. When said man walked on stage, he was unmistakable; it was certainly Makoto, what with those shining green eyes, and radiant smile.

"Hello!" Makoto called out after settling down in front of his drumset, "There's one person here tonight I'd like to thank for getting me into this band in the first place. Nagisa Hazuki come on up."

Nagisa's breath flew out of his lungs. He suddenly felt the hands of the security guard pulling him up over the thousands of fans trying to climb on stage. Once he was back on solid ground, Nagisa thought he would fall right over. His legs were shaking, and the band was all so close. Everyone but Rei. He wasn't even on stage. Suddenly he heard the opening notes to his favorite song.

"She sits up high, surrounded by the sun. One million branches and she loves everyone." Rei's voice filled the speakers of the room.

"Mom and dad, did you search for me? I've been out here so long I'm going crazy." out walked Rei with this signature purple microphone.

Nagisa felt tears well in his eyes. Rei walked right beside him, and wrapped his free arm around Nagisa's waist. He kept singing to him, making direct eye contact.

"And as we own this night, I'll put your body to the test with mine. This love was out of control, three, two one. Let it go," Rei set the mic on the stand as Haru and Rin (and some other guy playing the other guitar part) took over with the instrumental. Rei turned to Nagisa and connected their lips. It only lasted a few seconds, and Nagisa thought he was going to melt right there. Once they broke apart Rei shot him a wink, and the body guard picked up Nagisa, and plopped him back in his seat.

Nagisa had only one thought:

BEST. DAY. EVER.
