Chapter 11: Scary Movie

im so sorry i have been really busy these past few weeks and i wasnt able to update but here i am. i will try and makeup for it!! hope you like this chapter, be sure to comment, message, and vote or whatever you want to do! (but be nice to me & other readers please even though i havent had a problem with it yet)

Maddie's POV:

         I sat there, looking at all of them. They all had an empty expression in their eyes. Avery was staring at the ground, fiddling with her fingers. Grayson was staring at my hand, while he rubbed soothing circles into my skin. Ethan was staring at the ceiling, holding Averys hand, just like Grayson, rubbing soothing circles into it.

       About an hour ago Gray, Eth, Avery, and I decided to watch a movie, an hour later and we still have not made our movie choice.

"Finding Nemo!!!!"

"Monsters Inc!!!"

"The Conjuring."

"Let's all just vote," I finally step in and say.

"All those in favor of Finding Nemo, raise your hand," Avery and I both raised our hands.

"All those in favor of Monsters Inc, raise your hand," No one raised their hand.

"All those in favor of The Conjuring, raise your hand," Ethan and Grayson both raised their hands.

Well shit.

"Rock paper scissors to see which one we watch," Avery against Ethan, cute, yet instense. They both place their right fist onto their left hand.
"Rock,"
"Paper,"
"Scissors,"
"Shoot,"
        Avery puts out her play, paper. As does Ethan, but his are scissors. I could see Avery's face fall in defeat, and then Ethan cut her paper hand and started running around in victory.
"Let's just watch the damn movie," I mumble.
Grayson walked over to his stack of movies and carefully went through all of them until he found the one he was looking for.
      He walked over to the blue-ray player, an evil smirk plastered onto his face, took the movie out, placed it onto the player, and into the blue-ray player it went.

   "OH SHIT," Avery screamed for the thousandth time through out the movie.
      I sat comfortably, snuggling with Grayson. While on the other hand Avery is holding the only bowl of popcorn eating it by the handful, while Ethan is laying on the couch asleep.
    About another 30 minutes go by with a few more 'Oh shits' from Avery until finally the movie credits start scrolling down the screen.

"It's 2am you guys can sleep here if you want,"

"Sure," Avery and I both say in unison.

"Okay, great. I'll grab both of you a pair of sweats and a tshirt!" And before we know it he's running up the stairs like a little 5 year old.

"I would like to know what runs through that childs head," Avery whispers so only I could hear, even though Ethan is asleep and Gray's upstairs. We both laugh and then go onto other topics.

"Have you watched Greys Anatomy yet?" I ask Avery.

"Nope never seen—"

"WHAT?! What is this unhumane act?" I yell out.

"Well you see, I've never gotten around to it,"

"We are watching it the next time we hang out,"

"Okay,"

"McDreamy is hot as hell by the way,"

"Okay,"

     Finally Grayson runs down the stairs with two pairs of sweatshirts and sweats. He tosses a pair of sweats and a sweatshirt to me and then the other pair to Avery.

"There's a bathroom upstairs you guys can change in or you could go around the corner and change where we can't see you," Gray says before plopping back down onto the couch and beggining to scroll through Instagram and Twitter on his phone.

"Might as well just go around the corner,"

     Avery and I begin to make our way to the other part of the basement and take our other clothes off and put on the sweatshirts and sweatpants. Right when I put the sweatshirt on I was instantly hit with a farmiliar scent.
It smelled like Grayson.
The smell surrounded me and blanketed me with what seemed to be protection and safety.
     We walked over to the couch and I layed down with Grayson while Avery tried to figure out how she was going to sleep.

"You know I'll protect you from bad things, right?" Grayson says softly.

"Yes, I know," I whisper back.

"Good," And with that he closed his eyes. Soon after his breathing became steady and I knew he was asleep. I closed my eyes and almost immediately fell asleep.

heyyyyy shitty and short chapter but yanno it's kind of a filler chapter and I hope I can write the next chapter soon so I can get more of the book for you guys to read, hope you enjoyed it. Make sure to vote, comment, ask questions if you have any, do whatever.
