"PAPYRUS!" Underswap Sans yelled, annoyed with his brother for falling asleep on the job, again. Papyrus jumps, awake and alert, "Oh, it's you Sans." He yawns, "Why do you have to wake me up like that every time bro?" He asks, stretching. "Because you shouldn't be sleeping on the job! What if a human were to come by?!" Sans asks, tapping his foot. "A human hasn't come by in a long, long time bro. But, maybe the lamp can help you." Papyrus says, nodding towards the lamp. "... Brother this is not the time for one of your pranks! I'm going to go find a human myself!" Sans says, grumpily stomping his way through the snow.
He walked through the forest of Snowdin for a while. Until he heard whispering in some weird language he'd never heard before. "W-Who's there?!" Sans asks, sounding very scared. "T-The Magnificent Sans demands you show yourself!" Sans says, now trembling as sounds of rustling came through the forest. Everything around him goes black with a patch of grass in front of him as well as a door. Someone giggles from the shadows. Suddenly, a yellow cloud of sparkling dust shoots at Sans and coiles around him like a serpent. Sans attempts to escape, but to no avail. The cloud as it wraps around him continues whispering in the strange language, but one word could be heard that was repeated over and over, almost sounding as if these words were overlapping each other. "Found you. FoundYouFoundYouFoundYou... Found you!" It spoke. The cloud finally seeps into his soul.
He appears again in the snowy forest of his home, as if he had fallen asleep. He stands up, brushing the snow off as he looks around, not a movement insight besides the falling flakes of snow. He shakes his head, walking back to his post. He finds Papyrus there, with none other than a human child. But for some reason, Sans didn't feel excited, he felt dazed. There was a little voice in his head, it said "Kill it" over and over and over again. He starts to walk forward, he felt as if he were in a trance. "Sans?" Papyrus asks, sounding concerned for his brother. Sans just continues to walk. "Sans? Are you okay?" Papyrus asks once more. The human starts to walk back out of fear. "SANS!" Papyrus yells, finally catching his brother's attention.
Sans blinks, "What?" He asks, sounding very confused and dazed. The human is hiding behind Papyrus, shaking slightly as it looks at Sans. The little voice in his head speaks again, "Kill it... Kill it..." It says, but Sans ignores it. "Oh... Hello human! Sorry if I scared you!" Sans says nicely. He smiles at the human. It smiles back and steps out from behind Papyrus. "I am the Magnificent Sans! What is your name, human?!" Sans asks, his voice filled with energy. They giggle, "My name is Chara, sir." They say. Papyrus smiles at them, then at Sans, chuckling slightly. Sans gasps, his eyes starring up. "So polite!" He says happily. They hold their hand out, smiling up at Sans still. Their other hand holds a little stick. Sans shakes it, until he notices... There's dust on the stick... The human had killed at least one monster.
Sans quickly lets go of the human's hand, looking horrified. He looks up at Papyrus, pointing to the stick. Papyrus looks at the stick, "Sans, it's not monster dust..." He says calmly. "O-Oh..." Sans responds, calming down a little. Chara looks at the stick, "Oh, that was on there before I got it..." They say, "Sorry if it upset you, I didn't mean to..." They look like they are not going to cause any harm. "No no, I just thought..." Sans is cut off by a memory that he know isn't his, it's of a child that looked a lot like Chara killing everyone. It almost seemed like a dream. Sans blinks twice and shakes his head, "Sorry...." He says. Papyrus kneels down, "Are you ok Sans? Do you need to go home?" He asks, worry showing in his expression. "Yeah... Yeah I think I need a break." Sans says. Which meant that something was really, really, really wrong. Sans would never, EVER give up on the opportunity to catch a human. Papyrus nods, glancing at Chara quickly before picking Sans up, "I'll meet you up ahead, I need to take him home." Papyrus says and goes along the path, teleporting home once out of sight of Chara.
"What's wrong." Papyrus asked as soon as they appeared home, setting Sans on the couch. "I... I don't know... I saw something, a-a human, they.... They were killing everyone..." Sans says. Papyrus's face darkens, "That's not Chara, you... you saw someone else..." Papyrus says, "I've been talking to the human for a while now, they have no intention of hurting anyone, their LOVE and EXP are both the lowest they can be." He continues. "And... I had this weird... Dream... Well I think it was a dream..." Sans says. "What was it?" Papyrus asks. "There was this... Sparkly yellow dust... And it... Kept saying "found you" before flying into my soul..." Sans says, taking out his soul now. It was slightly yellow. "I... I don't..." Papyrus seems baffled by this. "I also... Heard this voice in my head... It wasn't mine... It asked me to kill the human..." Sans adds. Papyrus doesn't speak for a while, then, he finally speaks a question, his voice barely above a whisper, "sans... how high is your love?" He asks, not looking at Sans. "It's normally one..." Sans opens the stats menu. His face loses all color as it now says "Sans: LV 25" Papyrus stares in shock at his brother. "But... But I haven't killed anyone..." The screen starts to glitch before it re reads "Yan: LV 25" Papyrus seemed to haven't seen this, he just continues staring at Sans, like... nothing happened. "M-My name on... On the stats... Ch-changed...." Sans says, sounding terrified. Papyrus doesn't know what to say, he just continues staring at Sans. "P-Papyrus... I'm scared..." Blueberry says, as another part of his soul slowly starts to become yellow, rather than light blue. Suddenly, screaming is heard outside, it sounds like someone is in trouble.
Papyrus quickly runs out, followed by Sans. The human... Was being brought into a white portal. "HELP!" They yelled as the portal closed. Something strange was definitely going on in Underswap, but it only got stranger as Sans was brought into a portal from underneath him. Powerless to stop it as the portal closes. And that little voice seemed so happy about it too.
