Aurek sat and patiently watched Emerald beside him in a bar they both frequented right outside of Stanton Island..

Her green eyes were the reason she was called Emerald. It was a name some of my fraternity brothers and I had gave her during scream week in college. At that time she was pledging Delta Sigma Theta and her sorority sisters were taking her and a few other girls through hell ..

The name fit her perfectly.. Both Aurek and Emerald grew up in the same hood, dealing with the same devils. Thankfully together, they made it out, and from the looks of her french manicured nails, the diamond Rolex around her wrist, the black Mercedes McLaren parked outside she was doing almost as good as he was ..

"Hi Aurek" Emerald smiled weakly.

"Emerald, how's life ?" Aurek asked with a smirk.

She sighed "It's life" Emerald said stirring her martini with her index finger.

"When you gonna tell me what it is you do Emee ?" Aurek eyed her over the rim of his drink, gulping down the last of his Crown Royal feeling the burning sensation go down his throat watching Emerald look around the bar looking agitated.

"I've told you .. I work for a distribution firm out of Manhattan" Emerald replied quickly sipping her apple martini.

"What company ?" Aurek raised a eyebrow.

Emerald glared over looking annoyed "SG Enterprises" she said smirking.

"Never heard of it.." Aurek quickly spoke.

"Listen, I needed to talk to you and Daniel but since it's just you I guess it'll have to do for now !!" Emerald said looking around again.

"Talk to us about ?!" Aurek signaled the waitress for another round of drinks.

"Mike & Benny .. we had a deal" Emerald sighed "But, like I should've expected .. they didn't keep up their end.." Tilting her head from side to side like in a of course kinda fashion.

Aurek watched as Emerald grabbed her drink out of the waiters hand not even waiting for her to put it down..

Aurek sat and thought quietly; My import/export business was ran behind the scenes by me and Daniel .. Mike and Benny were just for decoration .. but Emerald didn't know that and neither did anybody else ..

Aurek continued to sit back in his seat and listened to what Emerald was saying .. The whole Benny situation was no surprise to him but the fact that she may have been in dealings with Gunnz was ..

"My boss is on their asses .. and I need to know whether or not to save my own ass by giving them up or can I trust them enough that they aren't trying to screw me over!! I got specific instructions to get at Mike .. She knows where they are, but I can't help them if they tryin to fuck me over !!" Emerald glared over at Aurek.

"What was the deal Emee ?" Aurek asked now that she had my full attention.

"The deal was that they would deliver the shipment to my boss .. but only half of it .. the rest would go to me and I'd pay them out of pocket !!" Emerald lowered her tone.

"Who's your boss ?" Aurek asked causally asked with one eyebrow raised.

Emerald hesitated looking around one more time "Synea Gunnz" she said staring in my eyes.

Aurek bit down on his lower lip .. "You know what you doin ?" Aurek asked Emerald out of curiosity. From the reputation all he knew - Gunnz would murk her ass for even thinking of crossing her .. and if that was what Emerald had planned she was jumping in deep waters ..

"Yeap, listen I don't need a lecture Aurek !! I need you to deliver the message before I deliver another one that's not so nice !!" Emerald glanced at her rolex.

Leaning away from the bar, "Shit .. you better deliver that message yourself !! I don't know where the hell Benny and Mike is .."Aurek told her unphased by her changed demeanor.

"What you mean ?" Emerald frantically asked.

"They dipped .. Off the grid .. My money on the line here too !!" Aurek kept fishing her for more information.

Emerald shook her head running her fingers through her jet black hair.. Her blood was boiling and she was nervous and scared at the same time..

"I need to speak to Gunnz!!" Smirking Aurek watched for Emee's reaction.

"For what ?" Emerald head shot up quickly and now she was of the defense.

"Business !!" Aurek easily replied.

Emerald eyed him closely, "I'll see what I can do .. get at your boys Aurek !!"

She said before raising out of her seat and walking out of the bar. Watching her disappear in the distance Aurek picked up his phone and dialed Daniel ..

"What's up?" Daniel answered on third ring.

Looking into the bars mirrors, "We just got lucky.." Mischievously Aurek spoke into the phone.
