Never being a patient person, Synea called 'The Plaza' and asked had 'Mr Benson returned to his room' after getting the information that she needed she made the quick decision to cross paths with him again..
Arriving at the hotel, Aurek had a smile on his face. His thoughts were he was finally going to get the chance to actually meet up with Gunnz. The thought had him plotting on what kind of person she could be. She had to be cold hearted and ruthless to be so notorious. Handing his keys to the valet, he had just a few hours to work off some of his nervous jitters.
"Excuse me Mr Benson?" The front desk clerk called over to him, her name tag read Rebeca.
Walking over and smiling over to her, "Yes?" Aurek asked, almost forgetting he was using a fake name not to tip off anyone he was near and in town.
Looking down bashfully, "Ms Gunthers, has requested you to the hotel bar. She would like for you to join her for cocktails.." Rebeca advised him, still trying to flirt but keep it professional.
Noticing she was trying too hard, he just kindly smiled back. "Thank you for letting me know, you stay beautiful.." Aurek replied heading towards the hotel bar.
Walking into the bars dim lit confines. There sat a Jazz band playing and the drummer was playing his soul out on his solo. Aurek watched as 'Sarah' sat and intently watched the band play. She was beautiful, dressed in a form fitting bodycon dress, white heels, long hair loosely falling down her shoulders. Her blazer rested in the seat beside her, but just the sight of her in the form fitting dress showed off her curves.
Approaching the table, "Guess you wanted to cash in on that rainy day you gave me the other day?" Aurek sat across from her, "But please - Let me ask you a question.." He waited for a response.
Picking up her glass of White wine, "Go head and ask away.." Synea sipped looking up at him.
"Do you only associate with white? Because, I don't see any other color in your color spectrum.." Smirking over at her Aurek asked to lighten the mood.
Giving a little giggle, "Kinda.. It's like my signature color.." Synea raised her glass again taking another sip, then relaxing back into the booth, "SO.. What would you like to drink Mr Benson?" Eyeing him to see if he still kept up his cover..
Kinda caught off guard, "I'll have a Hennessy.." Aurek responded, "And please call me Edward, being called Mr Benson reminds me so much of my father and has me looking around for him.." He tried to cover up.
Raising a eyebrow, "Clean, or on the rocks?" Synea asked him, she noticed how smooth he lied. But as the evening progressed she hoped to get more info out of him.
Slightly laughing, "I'm a man, I'll take it straight up.." Aurek confidently replied then changed the subject. "Sarah, tell me about yourself.."
Synea signaled the waitress over and gave her his drink order. Sighing, "So what would you like to know?" Glancing over in his direction.
Looking deep into Synea's eyes, he saw something. It wasn't much but he saw something. Something that made him want to rescue her from her inner demons. Something he couldn't explain but he for sure noticed it, "Anything you wanna tell me gorgeous, to be honest.. I enjoy the view of you, and just hearing your voice.. You could tell me how to make fried chicken, as long you're telling me.. I'm interested.. All ears.." Aurek spoke taking a big sip of his drink.
Wanting to laugh, "You're funny.. But uh.. Let me see.. I'm a business owner as you know.. I don't have time for a personal life, because business has been my passion.. I mean what more is there to tell..." Synea raised her hand in a jester for him to look around her.. "Other than that, there isn't much to tell.. How about yourself.." Rasing her hand, the waitress quickly brought over a fresh glass, taking the old one away.
Noticing how efficient everyone worked around her, it was like clock work. So she must have had a high standard with her employees. Shaking his head, "I'm kinda like yourself.. I'm mostly into business and what not.. But I do try to make a personal life for myself, you know what they say.. All hard work - makes the bull dull.." Smiling over at her..
Like a forgotten thought, "Oh.. The person you were coming into to town for.." Synea paused, "Synea Gunnz.. Am I correct?" She watched his body language change on full alert.
"Yea, that's her.." Sitting his drink down on the table and interlocking his fingers in-front of him. Aurek was on high alert, his plans included meeting her today.
Shaking her head apologetically, "Couldn't find her in my files, however her name does ring bells.. I'm sorry Edward.." Synea looked over at him and patted his hand from across the table.
She could see the sadness in his eyes, but it quickly turned to determination. Aurek was tired of the kid games and for sure he was going to meet with Gunnz today, one way or another.
"That's okay.. I have a feeling our paths will cross very.. Very.. Soon.. That I am confident of.." Picking up his drink he saluted Synea and put his hand up for another round.
