The next morning I had went to a local hot spring I was still half asleep but I had noticed Kato was watching me before I left. I hadn't thought to much about it.

I sat in the spring and wondered how hard this was going to be to find a mate. What if the one I pick doesn't love me back? What if I don't ever get a mate? I sighed.

"Stupid pack law" I sighed.

I heard a few sticks crack and I turned around and saw Kato hiding behind a rock. I became flustered I screamed from embarrassment which shocked him and he had slipped and fell into the water.

"Ahh great now I'M wet" he announced.

"You?! You were stalking me you pervert!" I screeched covering myself the best I could.

Rin and Inuyasha showed up and saw what was going on. Rin blushed a little and Inuyasha looked at his son. " Kato I don't think you want her she might get snippy" he said laughing.

Rin came out and handed me a towel and kato got out of the water and shook off the water like a dog. I walked out blushing and embarrassed. I dressed myself back at the house and kagome kept scolding her son.

"You should say sorry if her father was here... In fact maybe koga should be here" I looked at her. " Kogome you don't have to do that my dad said this was my journey.. " I said. But by the time she said it both the wolves had run off to get dad.

I groaned "Good luck staying I alive I muttered to kato"

A few hours later my dad showed up along with the two wolves.

"Where is he!? Lily! Did he hurt you?!" He demanded.

I ran over to my dad "No daddy he didn't so you should hurt him okay!? Just go back to home I can handle him.." I said looking up at him.

Just then Inuyasha came out and kato peeked his head out behind his dad.

"This is such a mess..." I thought to myself.

Inuyasha looked at his son "You better say your sorry. Or I'll let him rip ya to pieces. " He said stepping aside glancing at Kato then back at My dad and I.

Kato had the most annyoed expression on his face as he apologized to me and my dad.

My dad huffed and looked at Inuyasha" looks like your pup needs some training doesn't he know it's wrong to spy on a girl that's already taken?" My dad said crossing his arms.

I looked at my dad a little shocked. "Taken? What do you mean dad you said I of pick who I wanted... That it was up to me?" I said feeling a little rocked by that.

Koga looked at me and frowned then his expression turned to shock by what he had said. "Lily... Dear.. Well it was but I didn't mean Kato you were to marry a wolf demon. "

I glared at my dad "Why?! Do you not love me!? Is it because your kin isn't full blooded wolf demons?!" I shouted tears filling my eyes as I started to back away.

My dad tried to reach out to me but I moved his hand away and I ran into the woods I didn't stop until I came across this wooden well. I sat down in front of it resting my back on it as I cried.

I didn't even understand why I was so upset I couldn't haven't feelings for anyone yet, even Kato I didn't know him but yet there was just something about him that was drawing my curiosity to him.

By the time I snapped out of it it was dark and the moon was bright and full. I looked at it for awhile and then heard someone coming I wasn't sure who it was I hadn't known the sent very well.

"My mom met my dad here.. Well not on the well but he was pinned to a tree.. She came through the well to our world" Kato said calmly.

I looked over at him.

"I'm sorry for what I did earlier it wasn't right.. " he sat down at the edge of the well.

"It's okay Kato...don't worry about it. " I said standing up. "Why did you come out here anyway? Could you smell my sent?" I asked him.

"Yeah.. And I was wondering if you were okay...as a friend you know.. I think your dad would kill me if you fell for me..." He blushed a little and his ears twitched.

I blushed I was amazed he cared about me. I don't know what this feeling was but it made me feel a little dizzyt and my stomach felt all turned up. I sat next to him. " Thank you. " I said. " that makes me feel a little better... Did my dad go home or is he still in the village?" I asked.

Kato looked at me " He stayed my dad and him were having minor arguments but my mom had it handle it's funny to watch her say 'Sit Boy' " he chuckled.

I didn't know what that ment but I just kinda giggled with him. For whatever reason I felt a feeling I hadn't felt before and I was happy. Maybe I could change my dad's mind about him. What didn't he like about Kato? That he wasn't a wolf demon?.
