After awhile I had fallen asleep on Kato's shoulder and when I woke up I could hear my dad arguing with someone.

I sat up yawning and then went to investigate. I saw my dad having a heated conversation with InuYasha.

"Inuyasha I don't think Kato is qualified to be her mate. " my dad said staring at him.

"What the heck does that mean? She's a halfer and so is he. Your not upset because he doesn't reek of wolf is that why?" InuYasha spat.

Kagome sighed " You two please knock it off you've been doing this for hours... If Lily likes Kato then I find it cute. At least let them try it Koga.. We'll keep an eye on her and see what happens." Kagome said coming in between them.

My dad sighed. "Fine. But if he hurts he in anyway I swear. She's the only daughter I have. " he said.

Kagome smiled while the Inu looked away huffing. "Whatever. I'll watch them." He said.

My dad smiled a little "I'm counting on you InuYasha keep her safe. " he said before leaving.

"Jeez I heard you the first time dog breath" inuyasha mumbled.

I smiled a little I can have a chance with him.. That made me feel so much better... I guess I shouldn't give my hopes up though.. Even if Kato likes me it might not last.

I went back to bed then awoke to the birds chirping and the breeze blowing the tree branches. I sat up and the brightness of the sun came through the window. I decided to wear my wolf demon pelts than my mom's old outfit.

I felt a little more comfortable with the pelts it made me feel like me and not like my mom or dad.

I met kagome out in the living room area she was sitting down at a small table with a cup and a book.

"I wonder what she's reading." I thought.

I sat next to her and waited for her to notice I was there I didn't want to disturb her.

"Oh, hello Lily I see your awake. did you want anything to eat?" She asked looking up.

"Oh no, I'm okay thank you though... I just wanted to ask about.. Kato.. Um is he more like you or InuYasha?" I asked blushing.

Kagome smiled "why he definitely gets a lot from his dad his looks especially he's twice as stubborn too. But he has a kinder heart then Inuyasha thanks to me" she giggled.

"He's really a sweet heart... I think he just doesn't know how to expressive himself towards you is all. " she said.

I blushed "ohh really? Inuyasha never taught him about girls? " I asked.

Kagome giggled " Well I mean I'm not sure he's never said anything around me about it...come to think of it maybe InuYasha and him should talk. especially after he saw you in the hot spring his mind might be getting a little overwhelmed with those teenage hormones it doesn't help he's half dog demon either" Kagome said, she kept rampling on about hormones and the special talk that every parent should have with their kid.

I sat there and blushed "He doesn't know how to cope with his hormones? Or is he just curious..I guess it could be both right? Boys are all about women and doing 'stuff' with them.." I thought to myself.

I looked at her "Do you know where he went to?" I asked her.

"Hmm? Kato? I think he's in that big tree napping he got that from his father too. " she said.

"Thank you Miss Kagome" I said standing up and walking outside and looking at him, sure enough she was right. He looked so peaceful in the tree, he looked just like InuYasha but his hair was short and spiky and it was black. And his outfit was a little different still a kimono type thing made from the fire rat's hide.

I walked over to the tree and looked up "Kato..." I called up.

His ear twitched as he opened an eye and looked down at me. "What is it Lil" he said.

"Oh..um n-nothing I just figured maybe we should go do something...like go on a walk?" I said my ears flattening from embarrassment.

He jumped down and landed in front of me "A walk? I guess. This village is too boring anyway maybe we'll run into a demon. " he said smirking.

"Then I can slay it just like my father has taught me." He smiled more his fangs poking out.

*Koga's POV*

I sighed. My only daughter was falling for a half bred Inu. I guess I wouldn't have minded as much but sense it was InuYasha's son that little pervert.

I shooked my head as I met Ginta and the others at the entrance of the Cave.

"Koga.. Ayame's here.. She has a son that she wants your daughter to marry to connect the packs" Ginta said.

"I tried keeping Kit away from her but they just kept talking."

I saw my wife and Ayame talking and a young wolf demon about Lily's age sitting next to them he had Ayame's red hair and he looked pretty strong from what I could tell. He was crapped in white wolf fur like his mother.

"Koga your back~ " Kit cooed at me. " Was everything okay?" She asked. I sat next to her " She fell for InuYasha's son. " I mutter to kit.

"Kato?" She questioned. "Koga I know you wanted her to fall for a wolf demon.. Er.. Maybe Ayames son cod get her heart. " kit said looking st them both.

Ayame smed at me "This is my son.. Naoki he's the future leader of our tribe... I found out you bad a daughter and thought maybe they would be a good pair..?" She suggested.

Looking at Naoki I sighed" You can try but I'm not apart of this she's in a village not far from her. If you win her heart you can marry her. Only if you win her heart and I have to approve of it you can't let any harm come to my daughter. Otherwise you aren't worthy of my word. " I told him

He nodded "Alright Sir. I promise I'll protect her with my own life."

After I gave the boy directions to InuYasha's village I hoped everything would go well.
