I gently took off Zoë's hoodie and quickly pulled the arrow out. Thankfully it wasn't barbed. Blood spurted out of the wound and I applied a wet cloth to it, to clean away the blood and keep it from spilling blood. Phoebe came over and used scissors to snip away the t-shirt around the arrow wound. Black lines were already spreading across her skin and into her bloodstream, going through her veins. The arrow tip had been poisoned, I realised. I recognised it as Styx water, which was deadly to a demigod unless they were going through the process for becoming invulnerable. I poured nectar over the wound and pressed a fresh cloth to it. I carefully eased off her t-shirt, making sure to keep the cloth on the wound at all times. That way I could clean it easier. I wrapped a bandage around her wound and slipped her t-shirt back on. Thalia woke up the next day with a pounding headache so I gave her some Tylenol and told her to go back to sleep. Zoë had been in a coma for three weeks and then one night she just disappeared.
