Chapter 42

**Phoebe**

Diana and I went back to the cabin at lunch to grab something. Zoë was awake and twisted in midair. She was using her teeth to bite through the knots, and then doing half a flip so that her hands could reach her feet. I snorted. She was still trying to escape. I didn't get why she had to stay in here, but I guessed it was something to do with not sleeping. She ignored us and continued. Finally she stopped. She couldn't reach the knots tied round her stomach with her teeth. She hung limply from the ropes in frustration. She brightened up, obviously having an idea that might work. She flipped upside down and hooked her legs over the monkey bars. She was too far away to reach. Just when Zoë was carefully moving one leg at a time so she wouldn't have to swing herself back up, Nico burst in. Zoë jumped, startled, and her legs became unhooked.

"Sorry, wrong cabin, but can you help me please?" He begged. "Also, why is Zoë tied up?"

"Yeah," Zoë agreed. "Good question."

Hazel opened the door and stormed towards Nico.

"You, mister are coming with me and apologising to Will. You didn't even say where you were going!" Hazel said.

"Sorry, but I freaked," Nico protested.

The two left the cabin, still bickering. It took Zoë three tries, but she managed to re-hook her legs, this time closer to her stomach. She bent backwards so she could reach easier. Half an hour later, the knot was undone, and Zoë was stuck, having fallen from the monkey bars into the ropes. She was trying to get unstuck, but she wasn't having any luck. I left with Diana with a couple buckets of arrows and when her and I came back two hours later to return them, Zoë had somehow almost completed a flip, but her feet had gotten tangled in ropes and monkey bars. Now her feet were tied up too. Zoë basically looked like a stretched out 'u'. I stifled a laugh. Zoë was asleep.
