Austin's POV

Averey continued to look at us in confusion. She knew something was going on.

"Hey am I interrupting something? You know what I'll just come back lat..." I disrupted her.

"No uh Averey we need to talk." I looked at Averey's "brother", he was staring at Averey with happiness.

"I'll take it from here Mr. Carter." He said.

"What's going on?" Averey said still confused.

"Um I don't know how to put this Averey..." He grabbed her hands and looked at her in the eyes. "I'm your brother."

Her mouth dropped open and she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"But....how...I don't..." She said stuttering.

"I'll explain it to you. Well let's start off with my name shall we, my name is Arthur Adams and I have been trying to track you Averey Adams for the last 10 years. I have become very wealthy in the past years and I have hired a private investigator to find you. But we kept on getting into black holes. You're not an easy woman to find." He chuckled. "I always knew I had a younger sister but we were separated when our parents got divorced after you were born." Averey was still confused. "Mom and Dad had to choose between the two of us. Mom took me and Dad took you. Dad didn't want you to be with Mom because she was an alcoholic and he didn't want you to be raised with her when she was in a bad mental state. We never made contact with you guys after that." Averey had tears in her eyes. "You have to understand Averey that I cared deeply for you as a child. I would never leave your side. I was your protector. When Mom and Dad got separated I was more crushed to know that I would never see you again. Since I was a child I dreamed of finding you when I got older and finally having you in my life again." He paused. "Now I finally found you." He smiled at her with tears in his eyes too.

"I can't believe it." She sniffled. Me neither.

"Oh yeah I brought proof just in case you didn't....uh...believe me." He pulled out his birth certificate and a picture.

"You see our parents signed my birth certificate and this picture is of us when you were barely born." He passed Averey the picture. Averey pressed her hand to her mouth to hold in a sob.

"That is me." She said.

"Yeah and I'm holding you." She looked up at him and he smiled at her.

She quickly grabbed him in for a hug. He was a little surprised but returned the hug. He was smiling like there was no tomorrow. Averey was too.

She finally has family that she's always wanted. And just knowing that made me happy.

Averey's POV

I was holding my brother for dear life. I can't believe it. I finally have a brother. Well not finally but again. This is so mind blowing!

Wait but my Dad had been lying to me all my life..."Arthur what happened to Mom than?"

"Wait you don't know?"

"Dad told me that she died when I was born and he never mentioned that I had a brother. He'd been lying to me my whole life." I said hopeless.

"Well Mom eventually died when she drank herself into oblivion." You can tell this was getting difficult for him to say. "I was than put into a foster home because Dad didn't want me." He whispered with hurt in his voice.

Oh. My. God.

"Dad wouldn't do that."

"But he did Averey." He said in a stern voice.
