Scott's P.O.V
I had got home the same time as Stiles and Mel pulled into my driveway. We waited inside for the others, I walked in plopping myself down on a chair waiting for the others.
Finally after awhile everyone was packed into the lounge room. The two of three FBI agents sat on the three seater couch, while the third, the one in the trench coat, just stood beside them. I sat on armchair, while Stiles dragged chair from the kitchen to sit on. And Mel just stood beside me, not wanting to take a seat.
"Right.." I started feeling awkward, "Where to begin.". One of the FBI agents, Sam I think spoke. "Okay first. Who tried to kill us back there?" He asked a simple question. "That was the Assassin." I answered. "And what do they want?" Sam asked. "We don't know." That got a snort from the Dean fellow.
"Got a problem." Mel stepped in not impressed with this Dean. "Yeah we got a problem, how do you not know what he wants?" He looked at everyone in the room. "Well do you?" Mel asked glaring at him. "No, but we only just got here." Dean answered looking perfectly calm, and just a bit cocky. "Well asshat, it's hard to figure this stuff out when your friends are in constant danger! The only thing we know is that he's doing it for fun or something!" She raises her voice just a little and this Dean's cockiness fades.
"There that's better now. Questions?" She handles way better than I do, her authority even over people she just met was impressive. "Uh.. yeah. How did you know I was an angel?" The trench coat, Castiel asked looking at Mel curiously. She froze, this question wasn't one she could easily answer. Stiles had told me how she knew and it was pretty cool, but very un-natural. "Um.. uh.."She looked straight at Stiles and I could tell she had a pleading look, the smell of worry and anxiety drifted through the air. "I-I'm not sure really." Was all she could manage, and technically it wasn't a full lie.
"Sure you don't..." Dean was going to start some shouting war but Castiel stopped him.
"Dean. Calm down and leave her be.". "What?" Dean looked at the Angel confused. "I can see. She's scared what will happened if she tells us she's part demon." The Angel stated simply, not even thinking about his words. Everything went dead silent except for the smash of the coffee cup Mel had just picked up."Wha-." She was going to break down, I could sense it. She was scared and it was radiating off her in waves. "How...Come on... I thought you might of seen it.. but." She paused collecting herself. "I didn't think you'd be so.. so.. oblivious and just blurt it out!" She yelled at Castiel, who looked confused. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.. Upset you." He turned to Sam. "What did I do?" Sam looks at the angel with look of disbelief. "You don't just go telling people that someone is half demon!" Mel still shouted took a step forward but was stopped by Dean.
"Stay back." He threatened. By this time everyone was standing and backing up their friend. "Look, I'm sorry it's just that, I don't like people knowing what I am, it makes for a very awkward conversation." Mel smiles regaining her peacefulness from before.
"I'm sorry again." Castiel says again lowering his head. "Cas don't apologise. You had every right to tell us what she was." Dean states looking at Castiel.
"No he didn't! But that's not the point. We still need your help." I pipe back up trying to get back to the point."No, no wait. I want to know what she is first. She's half demon yeah what's the second half then? She could be double evil, like half were-wolf." Dean says looking from Cas to Me then to Mel. "No Dean. She's not." Castiel states looking at Mel. And everyone looks at him waiting for him to continue. "She's half dark, half light. The other half of her is angel." Everyone just stands there staring at Castiel waiting for someone to speak first.
"Yeah but she's still half demon. And I've had enough of demons." Dean turns to his brother. "Sam lets go we can figure this out by ourselves.".
"But Dean, shouldn't we help them." His brother looks at him pleadingly. "I agree with Sam, I want to stay." Castiel looks at everyone then to Dean. "But come on working with a half angel, half demon hybrid. Who we don't even know her very well yet." Dean argued. "She saved my life Dean!" Sam states using that excuse again. "Who knows Sam, she might of planted that bomb there, hell she heard it first."Then that was it, everything went silent but I could tell the Mel wasn't pleased. Anger was filling the room and then her voice boomed through the whole."How dare you! You son of bitch!" She shouted and then stormed outside and I knew where should would go, where she always went, the woods.
