SHARD (A Sci-Fi Fantasy Story)

Chapter One

My heart beats faster and faster as I felt myself being lifted.I tried to open my eyes to see who or what was carrying me but i just can't its like all of my energy was just sucked out of me.I could hear voices but they don't belong to anyone I know or met ;who could they be?where are they taking me?and how did I end up in this situation?As I kept on questioning myself on how this all happened i felt myself blacked-out .

"Is she up yet?" 

"No, Not yet" 

"Maybe you gave her too much serum or maybe she's already dea-"

"Shut up! she's fine..just let Hailee do her  thing okey"

"Uhm..guys"

"WHUT?!!"

"She's awake"

I wake up to see four persons standing in front of me arguing about something I dont know what but it feels like there talking about me based on what I heard one of them said."Wh-who are you?and where am I?" I managed to spat out still a little bit dozey and sitting up from the white sheeted bed I was just laying on.They looked at each other wondering who will answer my question.Finally, the girl standing near the bed who I think is just about 4 years older than me spoke " You're in HQ. My name is Hailee..and that's Robbie" she pointed towards the boy sitting on a chair who looks more or less in his 20's "Then there's Jack" she motioned me  to the boy standing beside her they kinda look like twins actually "so you guys" I pointed to Jack and her "are you by any chance twins?" I asked "Sort of but lets not go through that" I nodded "So lastly i would like you to meet Kira she's our leader for this mission" "wait..what?MISSION?what mission?" I asked my voice instantly got louder at the idea of this so called mission "Meaning you guys are some kind of secret agents or something?" I asked jokingly "Well not exactly,you see we were sent here on earth to find this thing called the Dreamer's Shard it possess great power and if its in the wrong hands it could lead to extreme disaster" Hailee explained to me "Aliens? seriously? that's where you're going with? You guys are aliens? c'mon I believe in magic and other fantasy stuffs but you don't expect me to believe you guys really real life aliens..right?"I asked sarcastically,being kinda annoyed that they're telling me that there are aliens who looks exactly like us humans."Believe it or not we're real and we can prove it" the guy who's previously sitting in the chair I believe Robbie is his name stood up and spoke "Hmm? Prove it." I ordered and look at them with my eyebrow raised.They looked at each other before nodding as a sign of approval. The boy suddenly vanished in thin air and was now beside me "Nice!" I spoke with a tone of amusement "Why is it so hot in here?" I complained "Oh sorry" Hailee said, suddenly she blows a cold blast of smoke then the temperature got colder too cold "Too cold..Too cold" I said shivering from what feels like a -31°C temperature "Wait..lets fix that" then Hailee's twin Jack also did what Hailee have done a while ago but his was hot. The rooms temperature leveled to an average "Perfect!" I sighed by the almost perfect temperature in the room it was not hot and not that cold either "Uhm..so Kira? what can you do?" I eyed on Kira "Please..you don't want to know" she said in a rather warning tone that makes feel uncomfortable knowing what she possess as a power so by that I'd rather not know. " So..can you tell us your name?" Hailee asked "Oh..Uhmm..I'm Ciara " I held out my hand to her she just stared at it for a moment until is I explained to her what it is "shake it." I smiled "why?" she raised an eyebrow, I thought about it for a second I never learned why so I just said " I don't know its kind of a thing her on Earth so just shake it" "uhm..okey" after shaking hands with her we were disturbed by a loud alarm Robbie then volunteered to check on what it was that was causing the it, he left us there and went to another room "I'll go too" said Jack following  him. "So what bring you guys here on earth?" I asked breaking the weird kind of silence after Robbie and Jack left the room "As Hailee already told you we're here to find the shard" Kira said with a slightly annoyed voice "No I mean what makes you think that this shard is here on Earth?" I clarified to her "Well we have a tracking device that can show us where and how long the shard has been there"  Hailee explained "And based on it the shard has been here about 3 days ago and until now, that's why we need your help finding it" she added staring at me "Wait.Why me?" I questioned her "Our master told as too, We don't why he only said that we will need a truest believer to help us on our quest and based on our investigation your one believer " "No..Im not" I exclaimed trying to hide my embarrassment that I'm already 15 and yet I still believe in magic and stuff "Yes you are,don't try to hide it believing in something that other people don't , doesn't mean that you're wrong it only means that you have a strong faith" Hailee reassured me putting her hand on my shoulder, I smiled through her advised.

Suddenly Jack came running through the room we were in motioning his head to come with him to the other room I jumped up the bed i was sitting on and went with them.

Okey, uhmm so here's the thing..this is my first book to be published on wattpad..first "published" because I have written a couple of books on my free time but haven't had the guts to publish it because  I'm afraid that people won't like it..but this book just give me the feels..so just feel free to vote and comment. I'm also open to suggestions to make this book better just message me or write what you think in the comments :) :) :)
