Fire and Ice [C]

Prologue

I got this idea from howsyourcoffeejesus ^-^.  They're one of my favorite authors on here.  ^-^.  Thank you lovely human.

Ricky giggled as he made small little ice animals for his little sister. They danced around her, jumping on her legs and shoulders. She picked one of the bouncing birds up and tossed it in the air. Ricky barely caught it, knowing that if it broke his sister would cry. He gently sat it down back in the line of dancing creatures.

"Don't throw it." Ricky softly spoke, patting her head.

"Ricky, come downstairs." The teenager let out a heavy sigh as he stood to his feet.

"Don't break those." Ricky warned before he went downstairs to his parents. They were standing in the kitchen, worried looks plastered on their faces. "What's wrong?" Ricky asked, biting his lip.

"You got an invite from SOP." Ricky's eyes widened at the news. SOP was only for the extremely gifted. For the ones who could control their powers without a second thought. He didn't think he was that good to get an invite.

"Why do you guys look so worried then?" Ricky asked, frowning at his parents.

"There's going to be a lot of fire powers there." His mother sighed. "Are you sure you want to go?" Ricky quickly nodded his head, smiling at them. "You're leaving Saturday then. Make sure you explain to your sister. She always understands you."

"Okay mom." Ricky chuckled. He quickly hugged her, kissing her cheek. "Thank you for telling me. It's my dream to go to there." She nodded, kissing his cheeks. Ricky turned to his dad, smiling up at him.

"You go and prove the family proud understand?" Ricky nodded, bounding upstairs. He couldn't wait to leave.
