Ricky blinked his eyes open, squinting against the bright light. He went to rub his forehead, wincing as pain shot up his arm.

"He's awake!" Ricky frowned as Josh ran to him. "Oh thank god you're not dead." Josh sighed, cupping Ricky's face. "You got really beat up."

"What happened?" Ricky groaned.

"You hurt Chris's stupid ass face." Josh chuckled. "Then he kicked your ass but you still hurt him."

"You're going to boost the stupid kids ego." Ricky shrunk against the bed as Chris came into line of view. Gauze was covering Chris's right cheek, where his ice hit his cheek.

"I'm sorry." Ricky whispered. "I didn't want to hurt you."

"Well you fucking did." Chris grumbled. He moved to Ricky, holding his hand out. Ricky bit his lip, slowly shaking his hand. "I still kicked your ass so I don't care." Chris shrugged, shoving his hand in his pocket. "You're pure ice. Why didn't you tell me? I could have killed you."

"You can't melt ice that comes from the soul." Ricky chuckled. He snapped his finger, an ice snowflake appearing on his lap. "I don't like fighting. I'm only here to learn more than I know. I'm guessing I'm your enemy now?"

"Damn right." Chris scoffed. "I'll see you when you're better and you know offense techniques." Chris walked out the room. Ricky looked up at Josh, smiling at him.

"He's gonna kick my ass." Ricky chuckled. Josh nodded, lightly slapping Ricky's shoulder.

"You're right is arm is burnt really bad." Josh shrugged, helping Ricky sit up since he couldn't use his arms. "You're other one isn't as bad though. You really shouldn't fight Chris. He might actually maim you."

"Why did he shake my hand?" Ricky asked. Josh shrugged, holding onto Ricky as he stood up. "What class are we supposed to be in?"

"Element Training. Mr. Preciado will probably make you sit out." Ricky nodded, leaning frowning down at his singed clothes.

"I liked this shirt."

Ricky sat on the sidelines of a room that was similar to the other one him and Chris had fought it only smaller. The room only had the Ice Elementals. He kept freezing the ground under Josh's feet every time he tried to form anything. Finally Josh threw an ice ball at him. Ricky glared at him, freezing Josh's left foot to the ground.

"Ricky, stop it." Josh whined, easily breaking the ice. "I'll freeze your bed." Ricky shrugged, quietly laughing to himself. He quickly composed himself as the Mexican teacher walked towards them.

"You must be Richard Olson. My name is Victor Fuentes. You can call me Vic." Ricky nodded, biting his lip. "You know if you tilt the ice on one side when you're forming it, you'll make him fall over."

"Hey!" Josh yelled, stomping his foot. This effectively made him fall over.

"I guess I didn't have to." Ricky shrugged. "I prefer Ricky." Vic nodded, walking off.

"I hate you." Josh mumbled as he stumbled to Ricky holding his ass.

"No you don't." Ricky giggled. "When can we go back to the dorm. My arms hurt."

"Josh help Ricky to his room!" Vic yelled across the room. Josh smirked as he helped Ricky stumble out the room.

"Chris is a dick." Ricky groaned. He weakly waved his hand, ice forming on his arms. "He had to do that?"

"What did he mean when he said that you were pure ice?" Josh asked flicking a small snowball at Ricky.
