Chapter four

Ricky let out a small chuckle as he sat with his friends during lunch. Everyone sent him a confused look except Angelo. He simply shook his head, looking down at the table.

"He'll know you did it." Angelo warned.

"I know. It's gonna be funny though and he deserves it." Ricky stated.

"What are you doing?" Josh asked, playing with his food. If you could call it food.

"He's gonna freeze Chris's feet to the floor." Angelo chuckled. Ricky nodded, focusing on the floor under Chris's feet. "Can't he just melt it?"

"No. It'll take a while to melt it." Ricky mumbled. "Now shush. I need to focus if I don't want to get caught." The table slowly started to snicker as the bottom of Chris's boots slowly started to grow ice.

"He's gonna be so pissed." Devin giggled, leaning on Kylie. "Look at it. He won't be able to move." Angelo let out a small sigh, shaking his head.

"What the fuck?!" The table erupted in laughter as Chris freaked out, trying to get his feet out his now frozen shoes. He quickly ripped his head around, glaring at Ricky. "I'll get you, you stupid piece of shit!" Ricky shrugged, smirking at Chris.

"Come and get me." Ricky chuckled.

"Let's go before the hothead explodes." Josh stated, a smile still on his face. They all left the cafeteria, leaving Chris to melt the ice himself.

"What if he comes after us?" Devin asked, biting his lip.

"He'll come after me. I just don't like that he's so rude." Ricky shrugged. "If he wants to fight I'm going to barely fight him." Ryan said with a frown. "It's how my family fights. Don't fully show them what you can do. Don't let them know how strong you are. I'm possibly going to break those rules."

"Why?" Josh asked, tilting his head.

"He's annoying." Ricky mumbled, glaring at his bandages.

Ricky sat in the same spot as the other day watching Josh again. This time Angelo and Devin were sitting with him, hiding behind him.

"What if he throws a fireball at you?" Angelo asked Ricky.

"Duck and hope it misses." Ricky weakly chuckled, messing his shoe laces.

"Freeze it." Devin sighed, hitting Ricky's thigh. Ricky playfully glared down at him, crossing his arms. He winced as pain shot through his arms. "Please don't hurt yourself."

"I didn't do it on purpose." Ricky whined. "Josh is working really hard." Ricky tilted his head, staring at Josh.

"He wants to challenge someone." Angelo sighed. He frowned down at the floor, shaking his head. "He's stupid sometimes." Devin chuckled, pushing Angelo's shoulder. "He shouldn't challenge anyone. He could get really hurt."

"He seems strong though." Ricky stated. "He couldn't get that hurt."

"He's going to challenge Ryan." Devin chuckled, laying on his back. "That's something I'd love to see." Angelo nodded, biting his lip. Ricky looked down at him, gently patting his head.

"Angelo are you okay?" Ricky whispered, biting his lip. Angelo nodded, smiling up at him.

"I'm fine. Why are you asking?" Angelo asked, standing up.

"You just seem... scared." Ricky shrugged, smiling up at him. Angelo shook his head, rubbing the the back of his neck.

"I'm not. Just concerned for Josh." Angelo stated. He waved his hand, forming a small flurry on the floor. "Make a weapon." Angelo demanded.

"I don't make attack weapons." Ricky sighed. "I told you this."

"Then make a defensive one." Angelo shrugged. Ricky nodded, making a smallish shield. "That's a really amazing insignia." Angelo murmured, tracing the shield. "Did you make it?"

"It's a family symbol." Ricky chuckled. "I think class it over." Devin nodded, pulling himself to his feet.

"We're all going out and Angelo has to come with us." Devin stated.

"I-I have plans." Angelo stuttered. "I'm going to hang out with my boyfriend." Devin let out an exaggerated groan, glaring at Angelo. "We haven't hung out in a while. I'm forced to share a room with you."

"It's fine. Next time you have to come with though." Devin chuckled, lightly pushing at Angelo's shoulder. "Why don't you get laid by your precious boyfriend?" Angelo blushed, hurrying past Devin. "He's gonna get laid!" Devin yelled causing Ricky to laugh.

"You shouldn't embarrass him." Ricky spoke through is laughter. "Where are we going anyway?"

"There's this amazing park that we always go and hang out at cause we're goth losers." Josh said, sneaking up on the other two. "Ryan-Ashley said she's coming too since she finished all her stuff early. A few of the other elementals are also wanting to come."

"That's fine. They have to find their own rides though." Devin shrugged. "Looks like it's a party."
