[Your P.o.v]
You didn't even get a block or two past the old and creaky police stations main doors, you ran as fast as you could and appreciated the head start you had gotten the advantage over Robin. He was pretty hellbent on going after you, yelling your name and throwing pebbles in the direction you ran, but not at you, to get you to slow down. He ran after you, in the dark and the only thing illuminating the paths afront the two of you is the dim and flickering gotham street lights. Bugs inside the bulb protectors creating buzzing sounds that were heard overhead. The only other sounds that were heard where the splashing of the old muddy dirty puddles you ran through, water going up to your left and your right and getting your ankles dirty. Some mud soaking into the tops of your black and red socks.

Even if you ran as fast as you could, not only was Robin at a physical advantage, but he also had a mental advantage over you at the current moment. with everything you were going through, the lies your brother was keeping from you. The secrets your Father had from the family, the secrets he had harboured about the work he did at Lexcorp, the only thing you knew about his job was he was an engineer that did work personally alongside Lex Luthor, who had plans of running for president. (Better than Donald trump at least.)

The feelings you were harvesting, the pent up emotions from the lies you knew you had been being told to. You knew something like this would happen but you refused to believe it. thinking it was nothing, thinking it would all just blow over and that none of this would be important in about a month or so. That your father would come home from Metropolis for more than just a week. To see your mother smile about it instead of being offended by the action. Knowing he would choose the work he does over the family. Even after adopting you.

The feeling of being scared, just the mention of Ava getting out of Arkham without being cured did things to you, emotionally. Not only did she physically come close to murdering you, but she left quite the mental stab too. And just the mention of her coming out from Batman, someone who you know you should take seriously by all means, it scared you. Oh it really did scare you beyond belief. More than anybody could know.

The feeling of utter betrayal, your older brother being the one person you told absolutely everyone too. And then finding out he's keeping all of this from you. All of these lies and secrets, and then  has the utter and completely audacity to keep it a secret when your family is in danger, your brother. your family. Your mother, your Father. They're your family, even if it seems like your mother's the only one that doesn't keep secrets. After knowing what you went through with your last set of adoptive parents, and your biological parents as well. And the rub salt into the wound, he didn't seem to think it was a serious threat. Not taking into account you could lose yet another family, this time a sibling included.

You didn't know if you could survive the pain of losing your parents again, and the pain of losing a sibling? you didn't want to know what that felt like.

So you ran. You ran as far away and as fast as your legs could carry you. Struggling for air to breathe, the chilled breezes giving you goosebumps as you ran. Arms swinging left and right, your body hunched forward as if to gain more speed that way. Hair sticking to the sides of your face as sweat started to form on your forehead.

You knew he was close to you, you knew Robin was gaining on you. And he would have caught up to you, eventually. But if it weren't for you stumbling over a rock that slowed your steadfast pace down he would have caught up with you further along the street and not so soon.
