"Nightwing. Take her to the cave and have her locked up for the time being. Her name is Danica Gray, she has no known relatives besides Ben, and it's the only name we know him by.
just Ben. He won't be hard to spot, albino. He should be around here somewhere." Robin said, handing over the limp girl to Nightwing. Robin told you to wait by the motorcycle the two of you arriaved on, but you refused and ended up following him. You've never seen Nightwing before, well in person. Mostly on the internet or in tabloids. His black hair that peeked out over his head, the white lenses similar to Robins behind a black domino mask that extended down his face in two drags under his eyes. The bright blue over black insignia on his chest. It looked like a bird, like a bat, but more so a bird. He was sitting down on a ledge with a paper cup of coffee and a white powdered doughnut. Guess he took advantage of the upturned doughnut vending cart that had been abandoned. Next to him was a box with out two more left in it.
"Woah, that's the girl running around Gotham calling herself Robin?" He asked, his voice wasn't dark at all. It hel some type of brighter tone to it, and it slightly surprised you. You had assumptions that he was connected to Batman somehow, and this only confirmed it. Even Robin was a bit dark. But this guy? He didn't seem the type. But there was something in his voice that made you wonder, how close that line was. Either way, you wouldn't test it.
Your fear became noticeably less, visibly. When you stood behind Robin you had held onto his cape slightly with one hand, and the other hand you had onto his arm, slightly clenched to his elbow out of protection. When your grip loosened, He looked at you from the corner of his eye.
"Yes. She is, or was. I don't think she'll be doing that anymore after tonight." Robin said, extending hand behind himself to swat at your arm, trying to get you to move your hand off of him but you refused. In reply you kicked at the back of his calve slightly. Not too hard but hard enough to let him know to leave you alone.
"Who's the girl behind you?" He asked, getting up from the ledge with a certain form of agility you found cool, smiling to yourself you watched as he came forwards. He had some white powder from the doughnut on his face, and some of the black parts of his suit. Something anybody wearing black can't avoid.
"She was infected with Joker toxin recently. If I were you I wouldn't get too close." Robin said through grit teeth, clasping a hand behind his back onto your wrist gently. From Nightwings point of view, it didn't look so gentle. And it was more of a warning to stay away and not ask questions about why you're with him.
Robin moved forwards and knocked the cup of coffee out of Nightwing's hand with his own free one that wasn't holding Danica. Nightwing, in response, let out a loud groan and asked why he did that.
"Because we're suppose to be busy right now." He replied, shoving the girl in a black and red Robin suit towards him and letting Nightwing carry her with both arm, at the moment she was being held bridal style due to the way she was handed to him.
"I already cleaned up my side of the park. Ivy's down, Joker got away, so did Death Stroke and Scarecrow. The only real threat that we all have now is to figure out why and how this all happened, and why they teamed up. In case you haven't noticed, or if you've been too distracted by your new girlfriend, the dome is going down." Nightwing said, emphasizing the word girlfriend. At which your face burned up and you let go of Robin and crossed your arms and looked the other way. This reaction let Nightwing give out a silent chuckle.
"She's not my-"
"Does your girlfriend want anything to eat? She looks a little pale." Nightwing taunted, going back and picking up the box of doughnuts. To which Robin smacked the box out of his hand and let it hit the ground, both doughnuts falling to the ground and rolling in the dirt."She's not my girlfriend. And she doesn't look pale or sick due to a lack of doughnuts." Robin replied, but he failed to see that your skin really was paling, and the corners of your mouth started to get a rashy red look to them. He didn't notice it, but Nightwing did. Whenever you raised your hand to scratch the left or right corner of your mouth, it would look weird. So he paid attention to your movements, and every now and then a corner of your mouth would twitch into a smile.
"No, look at her." Nightwing pointed an index finger to you. Causing Robin to look your way.
"What?" You asked, scratching the left corner of your mouth, your eyes were half lidded and felt heavy, and blinking became too easy, like you felt as though you actually wanted to close your eyes for a longer amount of time. You were getting sleepy.Robin made his way over to your side as quickly as possible when he noticed you swaying where you stood, eventually falling to the ground almost if you hadn't been caught. His grasp around your body was firm, and it almost went unnoticed by yourself. You were slowly passing out, it was becoming harder to keep your eyes open. Harder to focus on things, faces, even voices. Things were fading and things were getting darker. One last thing was heard before you passed out.
"The toxin's doing things to her, new plan. They both go to the cave. We'll get an antidote out of her while Danica gets locked up for questioning."
