I sat with nothing but a mere blank expression as the boys all partied like there lives depended on it.
I never really cared much for partying - you just dance, get drunk, bang some random chick and then get left with one kick-ass headache. No thank you. See why the bar's my favourite place now?
And so, I simply sat amongst the calmer atmosphere of the bar, where I could empty and reflect on my thoughts and also make sure that the boys didn't get themselves killed.
But today was different.
"I see you're rocking the all black again. Be careful, someone might think we're matching." Her symphony sounded.
I immediately swivelled around, and was greeted by those irresistible, cerulean eyes that shone so wide.
"Lucy, hey!" I grinned, pulling her to me and wrapping my arms around her waist in a tight hug.
"Hey, Sir Clifford," Lucy chuckled, smirking slightly as she spoke her next comment, "I didn't class you as much of a party person after our last encounter."I laughed, and for the first time in so long, it was genuine. It wasn't fake, or planned, or necessary. I smiled widely at Lucy.
"I'm not - I got dragged here by the boys, as always; why do you think I'm sat at the bar?" I quirked. This time, she laughed, and it had this kind of purity to it that I'll never forget.
