Poor Sheryl, she was crossing the worst step of her life and I was crossing the best. I felt a bit guilty. I went to my dressing and put a a white short and slim dress. I put some high heels and tied my hair into a bun. I put some red lipstick and black eyeshadow.
I patiently waited until David comes.
I sat down on my couch and reminded me my memories with David, our meeting, our first date, our first kiss, the night at the Plaza... Everything's happened fast but David seemed to love me very much. I think I loved him much too.

One hour later, someone knocked at the door.
It was David who as his habit, brought me a bouquet of roses.
He kissed me passionately.
-"Darling you look stunning. He exclaimed sincerely watching my dress.
-David what's the hell, you said 7pm, it's almost 8 ! I said angrily.
-Sorry love, I was at law firm..." He mumbled.
I looked at him panicked.
-"David what's happened ?? I asked very anxious.
-The divorce was pronounced this morning. No more Angie. He said smiling.
-Would it say that we are free to be together without fear her ?? I asked excited.
-Yes my love forever and ever !" He responded smiling.
I hugged him tight.
"Let's go" he said watching the clock. He held my hand until the downstairs.
Once there, David stopped walking.
-"Love, I need you to close your eyes and follow me. He mumbled.
-Why ?? I asked giggling.
-You'll see." He whispered in my ear.
Then I closed my eyes and followed him.
"Now you can open it" he whispered.
I did and see a beautiful car parked in front of the entrance of the building. It was a beautiful white Cadillac.
-"Happy birthday sweetheart ! He lanced to me.
-Oh my Lord, David I can't believe it. I exclaimed almost crying.
-It's yours Vicky. Do you want to drive ??
-Of course I do !" I responded excited.
All in this car was perfect: the seats, the wheel, it smelled the new car and especially the passenger at my right. He smiled at me. I felt that is evening would be awesome.
I drove us until the restaurant in Little Italy. It was a very cute place, which reminded me The Lady and the Tramp, such a great movie that I used to watch when I was a little girl. Anyway, Italy has always been one of my favorite country.

Once we were sitting at our table, the waitress came and we ordered our meals. I took some spaghetti and he took a pizza. On the table there was a candle on a bottle and it was next to the chimney. "Pretty good" I thought in this end of September when climate becomes a little colder.
Above us there was a false window with a picture of Italy in the background, like if it was the view we would see if we were in there and a clothesline where some tee shirt and pants were drying.
I was absolutely fascinated.
David grabbed my hand and started the conversation.
-"Love listen, I've something important to tell you. This morning I received a call from Italian television and they ask me to go in Italy especially in Florence for two days for an interview, would you come ?? He ask anxiously.
-Oh definitely yes David ! Italy is a fabulous country and I've always wanted to go there. I responded super excited.
-The flight is after tomorrow I booked us two seats in business class. And why you believe that I've booked a table here love, huh ??" He winked to me. I kissed him. Going to Italy, in Florence ! Oh my Lord... I couldn't believe it !
-"Do you mind if my son Ducan spend tomorrow us ?? I don't want to leave him with Angie anymore and it's my turn to keep him.
-No, of course no. I don't know him well yet, it would be the best moment to meet him more." I responded gently.
Our dishes finally came and we spend the evening talking about Italy and Florence.

It was around 11pm when we came back to my flat. What a night we had. David was such a nice man. I didn't realize well how much he had done for me since the day we met. He was the kindest man I've ever known, I really wanted him to be my husband and the father of my children if only I had some. But maybe, maybe... Maybe one day we'll become the happiest parents ever.
