DETRIAN POV

My eyes glowed a bright red as we chased the pathetic human down the ally. I love watching them try to get away, its no fun without a chase. I smirked as the humans knees buckled in from running, and fell to the ground.

We all huddled around him, hungry for a bite.

He looked up at us, shaking and crying.

pathetic.

We closed in on him and pounced.

"AAAHHHHHHHHH!"

-------WHISPERS POV---------

"AAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

I gasped and turned, trying to sense if any danger was coming my way. What was that? A scream? Is somebody getting hurt?

I take in a shaky breath and keep walking, trying to find a place to sleep. I walk for at least another 5 minutes. I had to keep feeling for the sides of the buildings, just to make sure I'm still walking straight.

I stop when i bump into a bench. Guess this is going to be my bed tonight.

I sit down on the bench and pull my knees up to my chest. I start to think back to how my life was only about a year ago.

My parents were alive and happy as can be. My brother was still around. I had a family that loved me. They helped deal with my blindness, and I know they loved me.

Now, everything is different. My brother disappeared a day after my parents were murdered. I was left alone. The police were going to send me to a foster home so I ran away. It was hard to find my way around first, but I got used to it. Now all I have is a backpack full of clothes and some food.

Its so cold out that i can feel ice forming on the small wooden bench. I rap my arms around my legs and bury my head in to my knees. What am I going to do? Just keep running for the rest of my life? I have no money and soon the food is going be gone.

I hear a bang, like the sound on trash cans falling. I gasp and turn my head to the noise. I know I can't see, but I'ts reflex. My breathing gets faster as I hear multiple feet running in my direction.

I huddle closer to the bench, hoping that they will just pass me by and leave me alone.

I hear guys laughing as they approach me faster.

I close my eyes and start to shake slightly.

The sound of their feet running stop, and slow to a walk. Then they stop all together at were I am.

Great.

I hear only one pear of footsteps come closer to me.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" The voice wa taunting, but so mesmerizing.

I feel cold fingers lift my chin up.

"Hey babe, whats your name?"

I talk in a quiet voice, trying to get them to leave me be.

"Whisper."

I heard a boy gasp.

I could tell that the boy holding my chin was smirking because of the way he talked.

"Looks like somebody's parents were hippies."

I frowned at the fact that he was talking about my parents.

I could feel his face get closer to mine as he spoke.

"Can we just eat her already?" A rough voice growled, impatient.
