Chapter 7

Lucy's POV
We look around in what I considered up until now my mom's too-big-of-a driveway, but we can't find a parking spot. We eventually just park next to the curb. We walk up my mom's crowded driveway, hand in hand, up to my mom's which I still consider too-big-of-a doorway and then I knock. My Mom answers the door, hugs me and say "Nice to see you!" I reply back with " you too". She looks up at Ian and Ian says "Hi Mrs. Hale!" My mom's eyes light up. "Ian! Well hello sweetie how are you?". "I'm doing great, how about you?". "Oh I'm doing fine as well!" she replies. "How about you two come in and chit chat while I start the Mac and Cheese". "Oh, Someone knew Lucy was gonna be hear!" Ian says. I smile in embarrassment. All of a sudden I see my sister and I run over to her. "Maggie!" I yell. "Lucy!" She replies and we run toward each other and hug. "Where is she?" I say. "She's right over there with Aunt Carol. Good luck getting her away from Aunt Carol." While Ian is meeting all my family members that I haven't even said hello to, I go right to my niece. Anika(I don't know her real name). I say hello to my Aunt Carol and the rest of my family. Then my Aunt finally pulls of that baby from her chest and hands her over to me. I find a quiet room( my old room) to rock her to bed since it was getting late.
Ian's POV
I have been talking to Lucy's family members about the show and my life for about an hour now. Ever since we walked in I couldn't find her. I start walking down the upstairs hall way and I notice a door open. I walk in to see Lucy and her niece fast asleep on what looked to be Lucy's old bed. I just smile. I've never seen anything so beautiful in my life. Lucy is great with kids, animals, and people in general. She just a great,beautiful person with a perfect personality. Perfect. The baby started to coo a little, but Lucy still lie fast asleep. I removed her niece from her arms and went to the nearest chair in the room and settled the baby back to sleep. Lucy starts to wake up and then we look at each other lovingly. "Baby steeler" she says "On the contrary miss"I say. "I am the baby whisperer". "Okay" Lucy says with sarcasm in her tone. We bring baby Anika back down fast asleep and Maggie say" thank you!" We all had dinner, then desert, and then Lucy's grandma show me pictures of her when she was a baby. Lucy's grandma gives me a old picture of Lucy and say "Cherish this for life dear." I agreed with her that I would. Then Lucy and I just sit on the couch next to each other and read the e-mail Marlene sent out. " There will be no set schedule for the next 2 weeks due to weather and my own schedule. Your welcome! Sincerely- Marlene". Lucy and I look at each other and say "YES!" In unison. We realize what time it is an soon does everyone else. The party was over and everyone said their goodbyes and Lucy and I were on our way back home.
