Chapter 11

Ian's POV
    Lucy and I are on our way to her parent's house to break the news. To break the news that- Lucy is pregnant. Pregnant. Baby. Dippers. Bottles. Late nights. Baby wipes. Cradles. Rocking horses. And who is managing all that- Me and Lucy. Words can't describe how happy and excited I am. Lucy is half asleep over on the passenger side. She's so cute when she's sleeping. We still have 20minutes until we arrive at Lucy's parents. So I pull out Lucy and I's favorite song. Babylon by David Gray. As I have it on low volume, Lucy starts to wake up. She starts to stretch out to the point where her seatbelt locks. She unlocked it and when the chorus came, she started to sing lightly. "If you want it, come and get it. For crying out loud🎶 I listened to her soft, gentle, beautiful voice. Lucy can sing me to sleep if she wanted too. We both started to sing. "Let go of your heart, let go of your head". She snuggles up against me and slowly falls asleep again.i turn off the radio and before we know it, we reach Lucy's parents house. I wake her up and she gets right up. We walk to her parents door and knock. Her Mom opens the door. "Hello you two!" . She hugs and kisses both of us. "Come back for more?" She asks us. We both laugh."No, we just wanted to come and stay for a weekend. We have 2 weeks off" Lucy states. "Well that's fine by me!" says Lucy mom. She lets us both into the living room."Well, your dad is on a business this weekend so you won't be seeing him this weekend, but Maggie and Anika will be here tomorrow morning." She says. "Yay!" Lucy replies. We all laugh a little."Come on Ian, let's head up to the guest bedroom!". "Got it!"  I reply. We head up stairs, down the hall, and into the guest bedroom. We set our bags down on the bedroom floor. We come up from setting our bags down, then I pull Lucy into a kiss."I want to tell her tonight" Lucy says. I stroke my thumb over her cheek." No matter what your choice is, I will choose that". She kisses me. "Let's head down stairs." Lucy suggest. We head down stairs and by now it about 6:30. Lucy, her mom, and I are watching Family Feud at this point. Lucy takes my hand, looks at me, then takes a deep breath. "Uhh, Mom?" Lucy tries to get her Mom's attention. We still hold hands. "Yeah Honey?". She starts to get nervous. "Uhh can you mute the TV?". "Uhh sure honey!". She starts to shake. "Umm......Uh...." Lucy's Mom's face start to go to a concerned look. "I'm pregnant- with Ian's baby". Her mom's face lights up and she starts to cry tears of joy. "That's so great! I have to call your father, grandma, Aunt Carol, Maggie, oh wait she's coming over anyway so we can tell then.But then we have call- "MOM!" Lucy says. "Sorry honey I'm just so happy!". She hug Lucy and I so tightly that I'm worried the baby might get hurt. That night all we did was cuddle, and read children's books.
