Make much ado
Everyone has its own opinion on something and usually believes in one thing. If someone confessed for whom they really are and for what they really feel, is it right and just to judged them based on what you overheard without getting in the roots of the said issue? Is freedom of speech really used in the right way in this modern time? Is judging really a good or a bad thing?
Charice Pempengco, a prominent name in the face of showbiz. People are in shock when she finally confessed her true identity. Different reactions and comments rained over the matter when she finally admitted that she is a lesbian. There are people, who already judged her because of what they think and what the society thinks, and there are also some that are not really shocked and act like it is just a normal thing.
There are people who disagree toward the lesbian issue of Charice, including her mom, Raquel Pempengco. She admitted that she was also a lesbian before, until he met Charice’s dad. Her mom also believes that her daughter will be back at her old self eventually. Mommy Raquel also strongly disagrees about the idea of Charice having a relationship with A.K.A.J.A.M member, namely Alyssa Quijano, of the X Factor Philippines, where Charice was also a judge and a mentor. The idea of Charice having a girlfriend received many violent reaction and created bashers on both Charice and Alyssa. There are a lot of people saying that they don’t accept Charice for who she is and that she is committing a sin. They also judged her base on her looks, saying that it doesn’t really suit her and that she is just a trying hard-attention seeker. But if there are people who don’t agree towards the issue or who they call “Anti-Cha”, there are also people who took the issue in a positive way and in a different perspective, or the people they call “Pro-Cha”. These people are the one who seems to be fine on the issue and doesn’t have any problem in Charice’s confession. These people accept Charice for her new identity and are happy for she finally admitted the truth. They said that there is no problem towards this as long as Charice is doing her job just like before and continues what she loves the most, singing. These people said that there is no large difference in Charice, except of course the looks, but her charm on stage and her great vocal power stays the same. This issue is not only the talk of the country, but also in the whole word and in different social media sites. Charice’s newly identity is also accepted worldwide.
Everyone has the power to voice out what they really feel and what they want to say. This is where freedom of speech enters. Yes, we all have the rights to say our opinions and comments, but this holds great responsibility. Also, judging is neither good nor bad, depending if you really have knowledge on the other side of the story or you only know and believe the front view.
