"Your getting married omg that's great Annie " I said while embracing her in a hug . Annie was my BestFriend every since high school and we shared oh so many memories and I'm so excited to be sharing this one in particular with her since we haven't really been together lately !! I was just glad to have my BestFriend back.
"Yess girl I just can't believe it's finally happening !" Annie said knocking me out my thoughts
"You know what ..lets go out and get drinks to celebrate" I said basically dragging her to the car.
"So where should we go ?" I questioned
"Mhmmmm...how about the New Mexican joint down the street from here ..I've been hearing great buzz about there drinks" Annie said while getting inside the car
"Oweee yes girl, I'm certainly in need of one " I said applauding her while getting in the car as well
Once we got settled in the car we made our way to the restaurant .

"So girl how's things goi-oh no no ...forget that question , I was so caught up with the fact that my BestFriend is getting married !!! That I totally forgot to ask who exactly is this luck man !" I semi yelled
"Lol girl hush you too loud you got people looking !" Annie said cause me to pipe down a little
"Ok well you know I've been talking to Derrick every since you know the incident ..once he apologized about what went down I kinda forgave him like I forgave you and we just been talking since then and we finally came to the conclusion that what we have is deeper than what we are making it out to be and after our second date after the incident he purposed he said he never wants to lose me again and that God sent me to him and he will never let such a great blessing leave his life again !" Annie said while wiping a tear that tried to escape
I can't lie those words cut me deep ..due to the fact that Derrick was my first boyfriend and first love since I was 8 all the way to my 10 grade year ..I gave it up to him thinking that he was the one ..but it all seemed so right ...this was the kind of  young love you see in movies ..our parents were close and we would always play and we had a bond like no other..and once my parents died which was in my 9th grade year I moved away to a foster home ..I didn't see anymore of him but once I saw him again during the end of my 9th grade year I knew it was faith and just like that we was back and stronger than ever ..but then I met Annie and somehow she met Derrick too and they somehow got together one night and I found out ..I was beyond hurt and decided to tell her about me and Derrick past but it was too late because damage had already been done ..comes to find out they were talking longer before me and her became friends..and I couldn't say or do anything because for one I didn't know her and she didn't know me at the time they were dating and I can't just come up in the situation and try to change what they had ..so I just decide to let it blow over ..but it only made it worse I betrayed my BestFriend and me and Derrick would sleep around and and try to cover it up once Annie came around but one day I got feed up with Derrick and his conniving ways..so I decided to just leave him alone during our senior year ..but it only added fuel to the fire ..we ended up sleeping together at his house one night and that's the night she caught us red handed and me and Annie never spoke again until years prior to this very day . Even though me and Annie got back cool and we left everything in the past ..my feelings for Derrick remained ..my heart just wouldn't let go.
"Alina !!., you good " Annie said waving her hand in my face knocking me out of my thoughts
"Uhh-hh yeah yeah I'm good , can I be excused " I said getting up from the table .
I practically ran to the bathroom if I stayed any longer I would've broke down right in front of her...I can't  let her see this side of me  because I do not want to lose my BestFriend again due to Derrick stupid ah ! "Shit" I said causing more tears to fall from my eyes . "Come on Alina get it together it's nothing , it's life get over it " i said giving myself a little pep talk. I turned on the water and scooped up a hand full of it and splashed it onto my face to wash off the massacre that was running down rapidly I grabbed a paper tile and dried my face off. I got my self together and walked out the bathroom and made my way back to the table
"Ok I'm back" I said in a sigh
"Good! I thought someone kidnapped you ..for a lil min.!" Annie laughed "but are you okay you looked sick like you were about to throw up or something , do we need to leave or ?" She asked raising a eyebrow
"Oh,no I'm good had to you know take care of female problems !, my tampon was moving around" I whispered saying the first thing that came to mind
"Oh, okay well us females know that struggle !" Annie said with a chuckle "oh and I  ordered
Our drinks I hope you still like strawberry lemonade since that's what you use to always get?."
"Um, yeah I'm still in love with that of course " I said dryly , after hearing that news I was so over this dinner I just wanted my bed and ice cream badly.
"So Alina how's college life I heard you went back for addition year for a DOC what exactly is your major ?" She asked
"Um ,yeah girl I am ,I just need to add a addition boost to my career due to the fact that my major is nursing." I answered "what about your self?"
"Oh ok that's good girl, and I actually graduated already I have my business and all my merchandise have been stocked thanks to Derrick he's started everything off for me ..but I still have my main job as a social worker so yeah life is great you know !" She aid with slight smile.
After a little more of the small talk our drinks came and the waitress took our orders which came out mins later ..we finished up and I insisted on paying along with the tip

"Thanks girl I could've paid for myself " Annie said while getting into the car
"Girl it's fine ..will you let me do some for my bestie for once ..haven't seen her in God knows how long !" I said while getting in and staring up the car
"Ughh, I guess but next time how about I treat you " Annie said while unlocking her phone
"Alright, that'll be fine " I said while driving towards my house...
After the 20min of driving we were finally at my house I couldn't wait to dive in to my bed ...today has really took a toll on me ! ...I slowly pulled into my drive way.
"Thanks again Alina " Annie said while getting out the car
"Girl if you don't stop thanking me , this was nothing ! "I said with a straight face
"I know but I really enjoyed being with my BestFriend again ,it means so much!.." She said while pulling me into a hug
"Aww booh I enjoyed you too ..it was just like old times chilling and having a great time " I said while rubbing her back and pulling away from the hug
"Want to come in?" I asked while walking towards my door ?"
"Oh no booh, I better get going Derrick's blowing  me up man " she said waving me off and walking towards her car that was parked in my drive way as well. I waved back and made my way into my house.
After making it in i Locked my doors and made my way to my room and plopped down on the bed face forward . Can this day get any worse I said to my self .

Omg you guys this is my first book and I've been pondering. On whether or not to write it but my sister gave me some good ideas and I just wanted to put it to the test I'm really looking forward to the rest of the book it's going to get better I promise ya !!😭👏🏽😘❗️
