He Brought Me Home-Chapter 1

(Rose's POV)

"Everyone have a great spring break!" Ms.Grandson says as everyone grabs their books and stampede out to their lockers. I grab mine more slowly and toss my books in my locker and grab the keys to my ride.

I pull my leg over the seat and start my bike up and head to the pack house. I park along with the many other cars and walk inside the house only to get nudged by a maid as she rushes by making me lose my balance and spin. I steady myself and start upstairs to my fathers office and knock waiting for his command to come in. He grants it I walk in with a smile and flop onto one of his coaches "Any errands for me to run?"

My father looks up "There's this rouge group just on the west boarder of our land but they only cross over at night. So you need to sleep now until dinner then you will go to the boarder and watch them but don't let them see you or they will run away. As far as the reports about them there are only three if they cross over then you will chase after them and if you can't get them all then get one. Do I make myself clear?"

I stand and yawn as I stretch "Rouges, boarder, hide, catch at least one. Yeah I gotcha don't worry about me or ask about my day at school."

Henry sighs "Rose your going to be Alpha soon you need to learn that you can't always talk to people about how their day went. It clouds your mind from your work and your work is your pack and your pack is your family and your family is your life."

I dismiss the lecture "Have fun with all that stuff your doing but i got to go and sleep for tonight." I walk out of the office only to hear my sister, Melody scream "WOSIE!" And attack my leg.

I smile down at her and pick her up "What's up Melody?"

She nudges her head into my shoulder "Carl took my puppy!"

I grunt and head to where Carl was finding him playing with toys and the puppy behind him "Carl," he looks up at me and gulps loudly "Give me Melody's puppy." He shakes his head making me sigh "Give me her puppy." I let a quarter of the alpha tone slip out. He immediately hands it to me and I give it to Melody and put her down "I need to go work so you two be nice and play nice or I will tell Luna."

With that I go to my room and switch into a pair of shorts and stay in my sports bra and lay my bed and wait for darkness to come.

~5 hours later~

My alarm goes off and I instantly get out of bed and pull on a t shirt and some sweats. I walk out of my room and towards the kitchen finding my family sitting at the table. My mother smiling at Melody as my father plays around with her making her giggle loudly. I grab a apple from the fruit bowl and head towards the door only my fathers voice stops me in mid-step "Remember at least one of them."

I nod and continue outside and into the forest as I take huge bites from the apple. I toss the core to the side and undress and shiver as a cooling wind blew against me. I quickly shift into my gold wolf and stretch my legs as I sprint to the west border. I slow down when I get close to my destination and stop waiting for them. About a hour later three figures lurk towards the border one has silver fur, the one in the middle has light brown fur, and the last one has black fur.

They cautiously step over the boarder and each sprint in different directions. I quickly chase after the closest one which is Silver and are right at his heels so I jump on top of him. He shoves me off and I feel sparks but I ignore them and circle him and bare my teeth. Silver does the same and charges at me I follow his actions and we snap at each other. In the end I pin Silver down as we both pant I take a deep breath and immediately smell a pine tree and fresh rain mixed together. Electricity shot through my body and Silver whimpers at me almost making me get off him. I was scared at how I feel towards Silver so I just hit his head and knock him out. Not exactly what you expect right? You can't blame me though I never felt this way towards a guy before. He stays in his wolf form which I was grateful for just as I got off him I find the black wolf in the woods watching me. I growl and he runs over the boarder where the brown one already is. I pick Silver up and toss him onto my back and start to the dungeon. I nudge open the doors and lay Silver in the bed his cell provides. I quickly shift back and pull some shorts out of a cabinet and toss it on him then lock his cell door and head to my clothes.

I pull them on and went inside quietly since everyone is asleep. I go to the kitchen and warm up dinner leftovers for Silver and I. I grab two water bottles and the now warm leftovers and go back into the dungeon. I walk and sit on the guards stool at the table and not even 5 min later Silver's head lifts up. I point my fork at the shorts "You can wear those for now."

I turn my back as he dresses "I'm done." A low husky voice says. I turn to the plate of leftovers I made for him and slid it into a slot for food to slide through. I sit down again and continue eating "Why are you staying here?" Silver asks.

"I'm the only person that knows about you being here and no one is awake at this time. Rule about dungeon is that someone needs to be here if a prisoner is here." I reply.

I chug down the water "Are you that golden wolf?" He asks.

"Yep" His eyes turn darker from his bright green ones "Are you done eating?" I pick up my plate and find his plate also empty. He stands and slides the plate through the slot and I grab it and go to the sink in the corner of one of the cells. After rinsing them I set them on the table and sit on the stool.

I lean my head against the wall and cross my arms and rest my eyes "You don't have to watch me." Silver says.

"Yes I do." I calmly reply.

"What's your name?"

"That isn't for you to know."

"Yes it is"

"How so?" I ask.

"We're mates."

I open my eyes and find him almost gripping the bars "I wouldn't grab the bars if I were you." He raises a eyebrow "Their made from silver." I explain. Silver steps back from them "Just get some sleep you'll need it tomorrow."

I stand and head outside the front door I sit next to it on the floor and wait for the morning to come.
