Outside at last, even if it may not be fresh air it’s not the smell of a hotel room.

“So what we are going to do Nikkie?”

I am overwhelmed by how tall the buildings are and how everyone is rushing I mean it’s a Saturday you really have somewhere that important?

“Nikkie... what are we going to do?” He repeats himself.

“Oh sorry I didn’t hear you, well I was thinking of going for some coffee and something to eat and to look around then to go back to the hotel room and get ready” I respond.

“That sounds good to me. First we have to choose a coffee shop…”

I turn around to see several café’s “Well how about we walk past them and see which one smells the nicest” We both burst out laughing, I don’t even know why it wasn’t funny.

“Hmm no let’s just go to the cheapest seen as we need money for train tickets home”.

We look for through the café’s and we decide on what looks like a little shop with good priced drinks for London. We order and sit and watch the world pass.

Frank starts talking. “So what time do the doors open tonight?”

“Well the tickets say half eight, but we will get there at seven”. As we finished of our muffins we left a tip and looked around the city. It was beautiful! Tall, sleek buildings reaching out towards the skyline. Frank walks on and has his eyes fixed into the window. I run over to see what he is staring at and I find a leather jacket which doesn’t look like any ordinary jacket. Its hand stitched, Italian soft leather and it is what Frank has been looking for. The look in Franks eyes, I can tell how much he wants that jacket.

“Go on, go in I’m sure we have enough for it” I couldn’t resist I had to let him look at it.

As I slowly enter the shop I see Frank frantically searching the room for that jacket. I look around; they have some pretty cool shit in here. I hear a little shriek, I think Frank he has found it. I make my way over to were his black head of hair is. He turns around to see me with puppy dog eyes, they look so blue and bright for a moment I’m lost in gaze.

“Nikkie… Can I please have it” look of pure happiness in his face, clearly I couldn’t say no to that. I look at the price tag £67.83.

“You better bloody love me because all we have left is £80 and we need money to get home, but yes you can have it.” He grabs his size takes the money from my hand and practically skips to the counter. Well I think to myself we only have £12.17 I don’t know how we are going to get home with this but the look in his eyes when I said he could have it and it was both of our money. I’m sure I can find a way of getting us home.

Back at the hotel room and Frank is delighted with his jacket. I sit at the mirror with my makeup. I’m wearing my Escape the Fate T-shirt with leather fingerless gloves, my black shorts complimented with my neon belt, fishnet tights and my new trainers. I start applying my eyeliner, thick and dark. I turn to Frank and he looks at me and blushes. I think to myself why did he blush, thinking about it he has been blushing a lot lately around me. It’s probably nothing. I go over to hug him and I feel a connection, something new I haven’t felt before. It was like a spark entered my heart and I’m sure he felt it to. I feel my checks are warm and I’m giggling. What is happening? This has never happened before.

“You look amazing” His eyes sparkling.

My eyes divert downwards due to embarrassment there is no explanation in how crazy today has been.

“You ready to go?” I ask Frank “our train comes soon”

“Yeah just let me do my hair” he replies.

“I swear to god you are just as bad as me with your hair” I laugh as he walks off into the bathroom with the hairspray.

“I am not; my hair needs to be perfect I may take a while.”

“See you’re more of a girl than me, well hurry up we need to get going”

A while later were walking towards the station its half five and the train arrives at five past six. I started running as I did not know where the station was, but Frank kept grabbing hand and pulling me back “We’re going to be late, come one”.

“But Nikkie we will be standing around for ages” he says with a mysterious voice.

“Frank would you rather get near the front or be at the back” I start to stress as the sounds of trains come close.

“Well to be honest I wouldn’t care as long as I’m with you” He whispers clumsily.

My face turns bright red, and I couldn’t bear to look at him after he said that. “You really think that” I ask him. He becomes shy and changes the topic

“Hey I can trains we have to be close now.”

We walk on in silence, it has become so awkward. I pull leaves off the trees we pass and tear them up. Entering the train station I go over to the information point to collect the tickets I ordered. Frank is sat on the ice cold bench looking up at the stars. I make my way other to sit next to him with the orange tickets in my hand.

“The train will be here in a few minutes” Frank says in awe.

“I’m well excited for the gig” my excitement shows in my voice and I go a little high pitched.

“Yeah it’s going to be really good” A train goes past and stops; on the side it says next Brixton.

“Come on this is our train” I stand up and grab franks arm, the jacket feels so soft in my hands.
