The Prince & The Maid

Part 5

-Chapter 12-

Princess Evangeline was walking through the halls of the palace searching for Will. She had been waiting too long for him to get over that maid, Valentina. She walked around asking different maids if they have seen him but all said they haven’t seen him yet. She walked up to Lily and asked, “Have you seen Prince Will?” Princess Evangeline asked.

“Yes. He told me to find you and tell you that he wants to meet you in the gardens. He just left to the Garden’s, so you best be on your way. She said.

“He said he wanted to talk to me?” Princess Evangeline asked.

“Yes, and if you don’t come back to reality soon he will leave and will probably never tell you what he had to say.” Lily shrugged.

Princess Evangeline rolled her eyes and left to the Garden’s. Once Princess Evangeline was out of earshot, Lily took out a walkie talkie that Valentina and Prince Will used to communicate with each other. “Will, birdie has left the building.”

‘What?” Prince Will asked.

“Birdie has left the building.” She repeated.

“What?” Asked both Prince Will and Valentina.

“Ugh. Princess Evangeline has left the castle and is heading your way.” She said.

“Oh, well you could’ve just said that!” Prince Will answered.

“But that’s no fun.” She said through the walkie talkie.

“Whatever, when did she leave- Oh, she’s here now, don’t talk.” He said.

Prince Will put his walkie talkie in his back pocket for Valentina and Lily to hear as he saw Princess Evangeline walk through the doors. He managed a fake smile as she walked her way toward him. She smiled at him and said, “So, what did you want to talk about?”

“I owe you an apology.” He said.

“You do?” she raised an eyebrow.

“Yes. I shouldn’t have spent my time with that maid when I could’ve been with you this entire time.” He said.

Princess Evangeline was shocked, “So, you do want to be with me?” she asked biting her lip.

“Yes,” he said smiling.

Behind the bushes, Lily had found Valentina and were silently watching Prince Will talk to Princess Evangeline. He put a hand behind his back and stuck out two fingers. Valentina looked over at Lily and nodded. Lily silently walked to horse’s stable and opened the doors. She walked in and let out the little pony who was born two weeks ago. Once the pony was out of the stable, she locked the doors and made her way back to Valentina.
