When I was in the hospital I roomed with a schizophrenic and she was the gentlest person I ever met.
With Mrs. Amber's recommendation and a little reluctance, I joined culinary arts.
They were making cookies in partners and pairs. Not knowing anybody else, I joined Lilly and we baked in silence. While putting them in the oven, I burnt the top of my arm. Lily held my arm gingerly, took off the oven mitts and started running the burn under cold water.
I'm still cautious about all the patients here, but relaxed at her actions.
