13 | The Revealing____________________________
Time and space can be hard to contain, to keep track and not be blinded by what might be seen. It's could have been hours, days, or even weeks she had spent in the windowless prison she was being held in.
Sometimes the time would pass by rather quickly but the outcome wasn't as pleasant. Bloody lips, swollen eye or eyes, cuts all over her body was just a few thing she had endured, but she was nerve gonna give them what they wanted, and to be honest, she didn't know everything they asked for. This was the first time in her second life that she was grateful for her memories loss.
Some fragment had come to her, just memories of her, Steve and sometimes Bucky. Nothing that would make sense to her except that they were close. Abby made a mental note to ask Steve when this was all over.
If he's coming...
The question had been in her mind for a long time, why does she seem to remember Bucky, or Winter as he likes to call himself now but not Steve. The way he talks about her tells a lot, they loved each other back in the 40's and know that the woman she is today still does.
Her hope had helped her strength up and kept her alive, all she wanted was to see his blue eyes once more. Tell him what she should have said on the plain, she loved him, she loves Steve.
Did she ever tell him that in their other life or did she wait too long until it was too late?
Her thoughts are interrupted as the doors opens and two guards with a man dressed in what seems like a lab coat walked through. In housed voices, they spoke to each other and send her smudged glares. They had been the last two guards to question her but had come out with nothing.
"Women are weaklings" one guard scoffs and point over at the doctor who's holding a black little bag in his hands.
"I'm strong enough to carry your corpse into the woods" Abby fired back and the smudged smiles of the guards disappeared. It took all of her powers to find the strength to say it without cracking her voice.
She rests her head back again against the chair she's being held in and close her eyes for a minute or two before the door opens again. Bucky enters the room along with a man dressed in a grey two-piece suit. Judging by Bucky the man was someone way up high in the food chain.
The man walked over to her and narrowed his eyes to get a better look at her face.
He shook his head in disapproval before speaking in a sarcastic tone "Well, at least she recognisable"
"I'm sorry, sir" one of the guards said in lowered voice and looked down at the floor. "She has still not talked" The man laughs and turn around to face Bucky.
"You two have history, isn't that right" His glare shifted from Bucky to Abby and they both tensed by his words.
Bucky cleared his throat and clenched his fists, even though she haven't seen him in years, he's still the same man, with a different mind, but his tells are the same. "No, sir. " His eyes twitched a little as he nudged his thumb with pinky-finger.
Her thought were true, he did remember something about her. Last time she had seen him he stormed out when she mentioned his name.
The man steps over to the man in the white lab coat and peak over his shoulder "Let's see if she remembers otherwise"
