Flutterpaw was sharing a nest with Honeyswirl from Windclan, Meadowlark her mother, Amberpaw, and many other cats. It was crowded. The she-cat squeezed out of the group of cats, then bounded to the edge of the cliff. They have traveled many many miles, until they found the cavern, where they rest until the more experienced warriors and other cats search for their new home. She couldn't even see their camp anymore. "Flutterpaw?" A voice startled her, but when she turned around, she saw that it was just Owlfeather. "Yes?" She blinked, standing up. "Well, I think it is time." She hinted, smiling. "Time...?" "Yes, time for your warrior ceremony. Look, I know that this is a bad time...since our camps been flooded with lava, but still." Owlfeather nudged her. "I can't wait!" Flutterpaw's eyes gleamed. "Amberpaw too?" Owlfeather warily nodded. "Yes, come on. Let all cats old enough to gather under the...uhm...cliff to hear my words!" She yowled as many cats gathered. "Flutterpaw, Amberpaw, step forward." Owlfeather looked down at the two apprentices. "I, Owlfeather, deputy of Riverclan, look upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have learned the ways of your noble code, and I commend them as warriors in return. Flutterpaw, Amberpaw, do you promise to  uphold the warrior code and defend this clan, even with the cost of your life?" Owlfeather took a deep breath, looking down at them. "I do!" Flutterpaw smiled, her eyes shining with awe. "My life?! WHAT?! But! I'm amazing! Everyone else should be protecting ME! Ugh, whatever. I do." Amberpaw frowned deeply. Owlfeather's whiskers twitched with annoyance for a split second, but then continued. "Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior names. Flutterpaw, you shall now be known as Flutterbreeze for your compassion and spirit. Amberpaw, you shall now be known as Amberstone for your determination and strength." Owlfeather chose her words carefully for Amberstone, who turned to the crowd of cats, puffing out her chest, triumphantly. Flutterbreeze followed, a bit more shyly, smiling. "A warrior...Flutterbreeze..." She smiled from cheek to cheek, looking up at a hole in the rocky slate ceiling, looking up at the twinkling stars. "Thank you Starclan...I know that there is still hope..." "Faith, hope, and compassion..." A light musical voice rang through her ears, and she gasped silently, her eyes still locking on the stars. The cats that walked before her, some of the stars, probably the cats who burnt to death in the lava. "The race..." The Starclan cats muttered again. "The race! The race? I almost forgot." Flutterbreeze blinked, surprised. "Oh yeah, the race! HA! It will start when we get to the new camps!" Amberstone smirked, her voice like death and poison. Oh great. This will be fun.
