Sam's pov
9:50 a.m
I feel a slight poke on my forearm and open my eyes to see Alex leaning over me with a crooked smile. The overhead lights shining around Alex blankets his thin arms and it makes him look like an angel in disguise. My eyes skim the rest of the room and only a few students are left. How long have I been asleep?, was I even asleep?.
"Hi Sam, m-m-Mr. Lester said that we-we are partners" Alex mumbles in a soft voice. "We can meet in the Blatchley bookstore after school, I mean , if you want to" he rambles on , stumbling on his words. I reassure him, he seem scared, why is he scared? "Yea, we can meet at the Bookstore , around 4:00 if you want, sorry about falling asleep, I was tired,I guess".
The truth is that I have not slept since Sunday, and today is Tuesday. I'm to scared to fall asleep, the nightmares haunts me every time I close my eyes.
I personally like presenting in front of the class. it feels like standing on top of a thin ledge on a 107 storey building. It jolts your heart as your palms start to sweat and it feels like the room is closing up on you , and for some reason, I like this feeling.
As I am leaving my homeroom to go to Science, I see Mr.Lester leaning on the door frame. As I am halfway out of the door , I hear Mr.Lester talking , to who , I don't know. In a muffled voice I can barely hear, one sentence in particular catches my ear "I think they'll be good friends"
