3:30 p.m
Has it crossed your mind that you are HORRIBLE at presenting things, cause you are , just in case you needed that reminder.
The minute I walked in the wide marble doors of the Blatchley Book store, I knew this was a mistake. The tall shelves make me feel miniscule and overwhelmed. I arrived to the Bookstore a little earlier than Sam's proposed time because I need to find a solution to my horrendous fear of public speaking or "presenting" as a school would call it. The last time I had to present a speech about immigration laws in my Socials class,I had a panic attack and I had to postpone it to the next class, it was a mess.
Reading a book, probably written by normal person, won't change anything, you'll still fail horribly.
As I scan the shelves in the "Lifestyle and organization" section, I find nothing. I even searched the little computer thingies under "Public speaking" but nothing pops up. I feel a rock of disappointment fall into my stomach and I feel defeated. The scents from the bookstore's built in coffee bar that is near the display of books I'm looking through fill my senses and pull me in the direction of rustic looking interior .
In the line I stand in between a businessman holding a briefcase, talking onto a earpiece and what looks like a single mother of three toddlers that is in dire need for 4 more hours of sleep. As I near the front of the line and a Barista named Jessica motions that she is open, I see something familiar, Sam's backpack..
