This is a project my good friend, bluebloodcaptain, and I are working on together. We will be alternating writing chapters, here is his amazing first chapter to The Star Prince.

The loud ringing of the day's end bell pounded in my head. I had almost forgotten I was in physics class.
"René I hope you weren't sleeping again." My teacher sighed.
"Sorry Mr. Denesik, but I got the sheet done."
I picked up my stuff to hand in my paper and leave but as I walked away I tripped on one of the desk legs and my books sprawled across the floor. I kneeled down to hurriedly pick up my papers and noticed one of the boys in my class had already picked up most of my papers and neatly stacked them.
"Thank you Tarik." I smiled shyly
Tarik was tall and cute with perfect dental, messy blonde hair and shimmering blue eyes. He handed the papers to me but held on to my favourite book. It was worn, leather bound and very delicate so I almost immediately reached for it to take it back but he pulled it just out of my reach.
"The legend of the star Prince" He read aloud. "You'd think by grade twelve you'd be done with fairy tales"
"Give it back." I realized now that we were the only ones in the room.
"It's a good read though. I know it by heart and then some." He smiled a perfect smile that made it impossible to be mad at him but I still wanted the book.
"I want my book back." I said much firmer this time.
He gently placed the book on top of all my papers.
"Would you like me to help you carry everything back to your locker?"
"I'm fine thank you."
"Suit yourself." And with that Tarik finally left.
I walked out of the classroom and up to my locker on the second floor. I opened my locker, placed my textbooks back on the top shelf and took my backpack out to begin my walk home. I decided to cut through the field knowing the football team wouldn't have started practice yet. I stepped off the field and on to the sidewalk and began my straight path home. Once I was there I took my key out and unlocked the door.
"Hey sweetie" I heard a voice call.
"Hey Liz, how's everything going?"
Liz was my foster mom. Both my parents were taken from me when they were coming to pick me up from elementary school and some scum bag decided he wanted to choose then to go shoot up a school.
"Well Hun" Liz began. I could already tell this wouldn't be good. "You're being moved to a new home next week." She said gently.
My mind raced with thoughts but I 'Oh' was all I managed to choke out.
I've never been able to stay in the same home for more than a year. I pretty much expected this but it still hurt just as much as every other time.
"I'm really sorry." She said.
"Don't worry." I sighed. "I'm going to my room, I've got English homework to do."
"I made you some soup" Liz said as I turned my back.
"Not hungry" I replied beginning to mount the steps up to my room.
I opened the door and slung my backpack to the side plopping myself on my bed. My room had navy blue walls that I flecked with white to make it look as if I was in space. I pulled my galaxy blanket cover over me and pulled out my book to read it once more.
