The boat soared through space like water, brushing comet dust over the sides occasionally. I collected some of it off the deck every now and then to keep in a little pouch I'd found in my room. I'd also traded out my jeans and hoodie for a divine looking forest green dress and brown boots that I flecked with gold stardust along with my cheeks. I had also found a pretty gold emerald encrusted head chain.

'I really feel like a princess now' I thought as I stared out into the stars.

I reached out to catch a star nearby when the boat started to violently rock back and forth nearly throwing me right over the rails! I turned around looking for what caused the turbulence and saw a much larger ship attached to the side of our boat! Various men began to jump down on to the deck. They were all scruffy looking ruffians and they each carried a knife or a funny looking gun. I wanted to scream for Tarik but I didn't have to.

"I suggest you get off my boat before someone gets hurt." His voice rang through the air as he stepped on to the deck.

Tarik was wearing a fancy royal blue cape coat stitched with fine gold patterns and buttons along with what looked like light gray tights. He had white and gold riding on his feet and white leather gloves on his hands. At his side was an magnificent looking rapier sword.

"Oh, pretty boy gun make us give huh?" One of the space pirates spoke.

Tarik brushed his hair to the side and drew the rapier from its sheath. It had a magnificent gold and white hilt with a fine silver patterned blade. As he drew it from the sheath it released a blinding light that gave of a warm feeling. It took merely the instant I spent admiring the blade for Tarik to disappear. I searched the deck for him to see each of the Pirates lying on the ground and Tarik sitting on the rail sheathing the blade.

"I'll repeat myself." Tarik scowled at the men. "Get off my boat."

The Pirates scrambled to their feet and climbed back up to their ship.

"Scum" Tarik spat.

"That was amazing!" I shouted.

Tarik must have noticed my gaze had fallen on his sword because he smiled and drew it from its sheath once more.

"A named blade, étiole céleste, a gift from my father." He said.

"It's brilliant" I breathed.

"No doubt. It's the finest sword in all the galaxies."

"So where are we heading? I asked.

"The first gate. It's on a wind planet guarded by Sagittarius the archer. That's actually why I came up to the deck. Look forward."

I looked out to the front of the boat to see a large green sphere.

"What happens when we get there?" I asked.

"All in due time René"

Tarik motioned for me to follow him below the deck. I followed him in to the kitchen where he brought out a beautiful Black Forest cake sprinkled with what looked like flower petals.

"Ever had sugared violets?" He asked?

"My various foster parents made all sorts of things but nothing like that."

"You'll enjoy it I promise."

I took a slice of the cake and Tarik was right. The Violet petals made the cake even more pleasant than it already was.

"It's delicious" I declared after I'd finished my bite.

Tarik smiled at me and told me stories of the star kingdom, we laughed and exchanged other stories over the cake and after awhile I heard a little ping as if a microwave had finished.

"We're here." Tarik said taking a serious tone.

I followed him out of the boat and on to a planet with almost nothing but dry green rock. The wind was fierce and cold but I gritted through it as we trekked the planet till we got to a large object. It was like a series of golden gears based on top of obsidian stairs. At the base of the stairs was what looked like an Angelic Robin Hood.

"Welcome back my prince." He said

"It's good to be back Sagittarius."
