Sitting in Mom's office, back where I started out from the very beginning

Sitting in Mom's office, back where I started out from the very beginning. Engulfed in silence, the ticks of the clocks the only sound besides my breathing. Gertrude was once again no where to be seen. Mom was in her own private office, while I was organizing some random paperwork.

A week has gone by since I last told the three boys to leave me alone. Mom hasn't asked about it, nor has she pushed them or me to do anything. I think the party satisfied her for now. Mom walks out of her office, coming over to me.

She walks over and pets my hair. She crouches down and presses a kiss to my cheek. "I'm going to a meeting," she declares, standing back up. Slinging her purse over her shoulder, her heels click against the floor as she walks away. "Love you." She says before walking into the hallways leaving the office.

The bell rings and my free period ends. I stay where I am because my lunch is right after my free period so I just stay in the office alone. Two tall figures enter the office, and I try my best to ignore them as they come closer to where I am sitting. I know who it is, but I really hope that they're not here for me. They stand right in front of me, my back suddenly going rigid. A nervous feeling crawls up my throat as I realize that they want to talk to me.

I keep my eyes glued to my papers, but not actually taking in any of the information that I was reading. One of them clears their throat to try to get my attention. I take a deep breath and look up at Taylor and Ethan.

I wanted to cry. I want my bottled emotions to pour over, I want them to be my friends. But I didn't and I just looked at their faces as they smile down at me. Ethan winked at me before saying, "Have lunch with us sweet pea." He politely demands. Their nicknames are always really cheesy and bad, but they never repeat one nickname.

They follow my gaze to my brown paper bag that I've already started eating. I take a deep breath and furrow my eyebrows.

"Please," Taylor begs. I take a deep breath, my shoulders sagging. I grab my bag of food and put my papers aside as I stand up. Their smiles widen and do a quick up and down of me.

They hold out a hand for me to follow them. I walk in between their tall statures and wide shoulders. I once again feel shorter than I have felt in a while standing right next to them. They had wide shoulders and were all at least six feet. Taylor was more slim and scrawny but muscly. Ethan was almost the exact different he had more meat on his bones.

They lead me through the empty hallways to an empty classroom. We walk in, keeping the lights off. Taylor closes the door behind us, and closes the shades of the door. The windows are open, letting natural light pour in so the room isn't pitch black.

I take a seat at one of the desks and Ethan swirls around a chair so he's sitting on the opposite side of the desk but facing me. Taylor plops down besides him, pulling out his food and unceremoniously dumping out his entire lunch onto the small desk for us to see.
