" Lady Catonié, you're lunch is ready." One of my nurse's said as she brought in lunch, that always leaves my stomach angry. She sets the tray on my bed table, and it surprisingly smelled good. That was until I pulled off the lid. There sat mondmunch with almost everything in the castle kitchen. I could've sworn I saw my 'food' move. "Please try to eat, the Queen's orders." I nodded and waited for her to leave. "I will, thank you" The nurse curtisied politely and removed herself from my chambers. I sighed and poked the mondmunch with my fork. This. Is. So. Disgusting. I hear a knock at my door. "Big sister, may I come in?" My little sister, Cinasé, asked in her soft little girl voice. Thankful for the save of eating, I allowed her to enter. "Yes, you may." Cinasé swam into the room, her Carmel colored tail following behind. She settled herself in the chair next to my bed. "Are you okay?" I ask. Cinasé, without warning bursts into tears. "I don't want to go!" she wails. I stare at her confused. "Go? Go where?" She can't stop crying long enough to answer me. I place my tray on the floor at my bedside and pull Cinasé into a comforting embrace. "It's okay. Shh~ Cina, I'm not going anywhere." She began to protest. "B-But Mommy and Daddy said that_" She's interrupted by the entrance of our parents. "
It's time for your lessons, Cinasé." Father says. My baby sister stays buried in my chest, her tears streaming down her cheeks "I don't wanna go" she sobs. I give our parents a questioning look. Father messages his temples. " Cinasé, p lease don't make this harder than it has to be." I may be sick but I'm extremely intelligent and know Father's patience is running thin. Cinasé still refused to move. I sighed lightly. " Cina, go ahead. I'll be alright." I whispered so only she could hear. She sniffles. "O-Okay." She got up and swam out of my room. I lay back on my headboard, waiting for someone an explanation. "As you're already aware, you will be leaving soon." Father spook up. I stare straight ahead. " You will be staying with our relatives in Miramara for a few months. Prince Madhi visits there every once in awhile and it just so happens he'll be visiting the day you arrive. You're purpose for being there is to win his heart by any means necessary." I don't say anything. I do nothing, just sit in silence trying to process what I've been told. To say I was shocked would be a huge underestimation. I'm being sent away to my cousin's kingdom, not to be with her, but to steal the man she loves. I haven't seen Serafina since I was a little merl. We use to be best friends. When I had an episode, she'd come and cheer me up, making to pain go away. She would give me sweets and we listen conóchs. As we grew up, your parents became too competitive on which one of us were better. Neither of us were better than other though they didn't see it. Serafina is a princess that some may call spoiled. We're the same age, I'm only a few months older. To be honest, she has the mind of a child but that's what I loved about her. Her carefree nature. I wonder how she's changed over the seven years we've been apart. "Why?" I asked dryly. Mother swam over to me, placing herself in front of me so we'll be eye to eye. "Catonié, you know why." I stared into her bright violet eyes, as she stared into my double colored ones. They were a blue amethyst outlined with stormy grey ring. "No." I said simply. Mother's usual soft violet eyes turned into a deep violet. " You are going, end of discussion." Whenever her voice took that tone, her eyes blazed, it indicated that she was asking but telling. I really didn't want to, unfortunately, she wasn't going to be reasonable. Sighing, I reluctantly nodded and turned my gaze towards my window. I heard Mother swim away from me, joining Father at the door. "You leave tomorrow morning." Father tells me before swimming out the door. Like always, Mother kisses my cheek, letting me know that she loves me dearly. "Thank you." Like I had a choice in the matter. She follows after Father. I heard the familiar click that told me once again locked inside. I sighed. I guess the worst is yet to come. I'm not looking forward to it.
