My room is more than what I would have expected. It's nothing like the claustrophobic space back home. This one perfectly expresses my personality and it's more than enough. I'm glad I was sent here. Aunt Isabella always knows what to do. I smile. "Thank you" I say as I hug Sera lovingly. "You're welcome." We pull away and I swim over to my awaiting bed, sitting down once I make it there. It felt so comfortable. Just like the walls, the covers were a deep blue. A moon was painted on the ceiling, while my name was spelled out over the silver carpet in cursive writing. Everything in here would let you know that it was mines. A family that actually cares, I cod get use to it. I whistle. My bags rested Sat softly on the floor beside my wardrobe. I can tell Sera is still excited so I let her stay. She happily swims over to me and hops onto my bed. For the rest of the day we just relaxed and got caught up on what's happened over the years. I told her about Cinasé and my parents. She squealed when I described Cina to her, wanting immediately to meet her though she was surprised to hear about me being loved in my room and not allowing anyone associate with me outside of family. "That's awful." Sera commented but I simply shrugged. "Yes but it's normal for me. I'm use to it." Soon after our talk we both went to bed.
I woke up in the middle of the night, knowing that the midnight sky was awake. My body does this every full moon. It's unknown to me on why but I have the feeling of being connected to it somehow. Pushing back my covers, I swim out the window of my room. I glance at my surroundings, automatically planting the memory in my mind. I swim to the place I would always visit as a little merl. The gardens. I sit down on a rock that gives me a perfect view of the reflecting moon in the water. I've never seen it personally but I'm sure it's just a beautiful as the reflection. I do wonder sometimes would it be brighter in the actual sky. If it's as the conóches I've read described. Like always my curiosity gets the best of me and I swim to the surface overhead. The moment I break the surface my eyes widen. The moon is directly in front of me in what still looks like the sky. "Principessa Catonié Ja Miromara, of Stalfeo, you have finally come. Now that you have you're destiny has been revealed. You are the daughter of the Moon. Since the beginning of time, the Moon has wanted to protect the waters from dark forces who would exploit it. So since the Moon cannot be there to protect them, a mermaid was impregnated to give birth to the guardian of the waters. This merl is ruler of the waters next to Merrow, who was the Regina if these lands. It is now your duty to make sure no harm comes to the living in these waters. In return of your service you will forever." I refuse the reward. "No I do not want immortality. I'll do what I can to protect these waters but I can not guarantee it with my current condition." The moon brightens if even possible. "Then it is settled. You the Moon Princess, will be given internal health for as long as you live." At that I feel my body sparkle and glisten. I feel my hair grow longer and my tail sharper yet more defined. My skin turns a creamy white like the Moon. A necklace departs from the Moon and makes it way towards me. On the end of it, a moon sapphire. The necklace then attaches itself to neck like a choker. It's gorgeous but of course it is, the trinket came out of Father Moon himself. "Heed my warning, child. This necklace is your source. Only you can remove it which means only you can remove it. For precaution, no one must know who you really are or those closest to you will be in danger. There will be enemies who will want to use you, kill you, or abuse you. Be very careful with who you trust and who you fall in love with." I blink and sees the Moon faraway, sitting high in the sky. I go back underwater, my new length of hair flying around me. I swim back to my room and I'm surprised to see that I haven't been gone very long. No more than 20 minutes. So I still have eight hours of sleep. Great. I slide comfortably in my bed and as soon as my head makes contact with the soft feather-full pillow, I drifted to sleep, letting the darkness overtake me.
