Staying Up

The Neighbourhood- Staying Up "How can I sleep if I don't have dreams? I just have nightmares, how can it be? I still believe that something is out there"

Mandy's P.O.V.

I woke up on a velvety black couch. My head was hurting so bad right now. I just wanted to go to sleep forever.

"Are you awake baby?" I heard a quiet raspy voice whispering into my ear

I was still half asleep and I could barely see because of my headache. I tried squinting to see who it was but I gave up in a matter of seconds

"Yeah, but if you don't mind me asking, where am I and who are you?" I said sounding puzzled

"It's me, Jc" He said as he stroked my long brown hair

His voice sent shivers down the back of my spine

"Don't touch me" I said as my voice shook

"Will you let me explain?" He questioned me

"That's what everybody says! They always try to explain and it always leads into something a hell lot more than just plain explaining. I honestly thought that you would be different but you're just like everybody! Like Jake and Kian. You're no different from them at all" I ended my small speech with a small whimper, afraid of what was going to happen next.

"I know I promised you that I was different and I know what I did to you. but I swear I really have been trying to change. I stopped drinking and I've learned that if I'm angry that I shouldn't take it out on you, or anyone for that matter. I know you probably won't forgive me but I wanted to tell you that I really am sorry and that I still love you" He replied in a soft tone

"Ok, I'll consider it." I said soften my voice as well

"What did happen with you and Kian?"

"Well long story short, we had sex, Andrea told him she wanted to get back together, I found out, he got really mad at me"

"Oh I'm sorry" Jc said with his head down

"I wish I could it wasn't your fault but I don't like lying" I said as I got up and walked up the stairs to go lie down. (A/N ooh the sass tho! Better jump back 3 feet ;3)

*Later That Night*

I was lying in Jc's king sized bed waiting for something to happen. Nothing in-particularly exciting but something all the same. Suddenly I heard the door creak open slowly. I felt him climb into the bed next to me, thinking I was asleep. I felt his arms find my lower back and snake around me. I flinched a little bit and was tempted push his hands off, but I had to admit that I felt a sense of security that I hadn't felt in a long time

Bonjour De Mou Beautes! I have returned from the dead. Haha just kidding my teachers just think that it's so funny to give us all tests on the exact same day!! But anyways unless you've been living under a rock, you probably know that Connor just hit 1,000,000 subscribers and his reaction video made tears form in my eyes :) Oh yeah and also I just hit 1K on my book and when I saw this I was so happy bc you guys are just the reason I keep writing.
