Here they were. Two years later – two years and a day if you wanted to be precise – and the memory of their wedding was still as prominent in their mind as it was two years ago. It wasn't a massive wedding; nothing like anyone had expected but that was fine for them. No one really went either, just their close friends and people who had helped them in life. Just a small wedding; nothing too fancy. Unlike most couples, the option of marrying in a church was out of limits. No priest was prepared to accept a gay marriage under his church, which, even in their view, was fair enough seeing as they believe it is against the religion. But even so it was irritating to be treated as though they were the devil's spawn. But that's exactly what they are in the eyes of some. The devil's child.

Even now, the thought of Phil walking down the aisle in his suit, looking lovingly back at Dan with his bright, hauntingly blue eyes brought a wave of emotions. It was a topic they had spoken long and hard about, who would be the one to wait at the end the aisle. Initially it was going to be Phil, after all, he is the elder of the two and has looked after Dan through all of his many existential crises. But Dan had been the one to propose, so it was only fair he got to be the 'guy in the relationship' as some people would like to label him. That's all it ever is really with people. Labelling. All anyone wanted to know was who was the 'man' in the relationship, as though Phil was any less of a man than Dan or the other way around. It was nonsense, They are both as much of a man as each other. 'Who bottoms?' was just another way to ask the same question; 'who, out of the two of you, take the role as the girl?' when, in all honesty, it was ridiculous! You don't ask a straight couple which one of them is most dominant in such an intimate moment of their relationship, so why should you ask a gay couple? Looking at it rationally, neither of them are the girl of the relationship; how could one of us be when they are both boys, but somehow that sense seemed to fly over everyone's heads when they looked at the pair.

But that was exactly why the marriage was even more special; only the people they knew would accept them went. If they could have invited they entirety of the phandom, they would have, but the expenses would have been far too high, and, anyway, it was something special between them, and even though their fans are very special to them, they preferred having a small, personal wedding. Dan could recall in detail how his heartbeat swam within his chest and his breath hitched just as Phil's eyes met his own, deep brown one. There were no words to describe the feeling that surged through his body at that point. Even perfection didn't come anywhere close. All he could do was relish that feeling, the one that multiplied with every step Phil took closer to him. Nerves, that was a part of it, but even just the sight of Phil reminded him why he had asked to marry him in the first place. In fact, it reminded him of why they even started talking all those years before. Back when he could safely say he had nerve experienced a true friendship. That was why he loved YouTube as much as he did. Of course he didn't have the courage to start making videos, but he did watch a lot of them. Phil being one of his first subscribers, and someone he remained loyal to with his viewings. And somehow doing the very thing most people hate their fans for doing, he would reply to practically everything Phil said until one day Phil sent him a message. That was the start of everything. One simple message. Just 14 words changed his life forever: “Hi, we seem to have a lot in common, maybe we should skype sometime.” that message would never leave his memory, he was sure of that. It was the one message that lead to hundreds, maybe even thousands of hours of video calls, which later turned their friendship into a successful, long lasting relationship. One that is now a marriage. Without that message nothing would have been like it is now.
