Two detectives pulled up into the sea of ambulances and policemen. There were news teams trying to get information of whatever had happened and pedestrians were walking towards the crime scene. The two get out of their black vehicle wearing their long winter coats made of fluffy cotton. The first was rather slender with blonde hair that was carefully styled with gel. He wore rectangular glasses that seemed to frame his green eyes and long lashes. The second was taller in comparison but didn't have the same diet. He, on the other hand, was a man who took seconds of every meal. His hair was left as it is, slightly parted to the side. He walked behind his partner, making sure to not lose sight of him. They politely made their way to the entrance of the LemonWood Mental Institution and both held up their badges to the guard.
"Ah, Simon and Will Frank. It's nice to see you working on this case together." The policeman guarding greeted the pair. Simon, who nudged his spectacles up the top of his nose chuckled, making puffs of white clouds escape his chapped lips.
"The last case took quite awhile, but I too am glad to be working with my brother once again." He stated, glancing sideways at Will, who seemed to be shivering in the cold. Simon pointed to the door of the institution, gesturing for the man to let them in. The policeman quickly stepped to one side, making room for the detectives to enter the building. Simon and Will followed the trail of firemen into a small, stuffy room not far from the lobby. Those who were checking out the scene saw the detectives and scurried away, not wanting to interfere with their work. Simon, the more responsible of the two, handed his brother gloves and put on a pair himself. He crouched down and examined the pool of blood soaking into the dead girl's clothes. With the help of Will, he managed to flip her body over, revealing a wooden stake stuck in her chest. Although it wasn't until two hours later that an employee discovered the mishap, there was still blood pouring out of the hole in her skin. There was a stifled cry from William, who always hated these types of cases. He was more fond of robberies; not murders. Simon was the complete opposite and always took up these cases. He always came to their boss successful; there was never a small detail that he couldn't pick up. With a phone, Simon took a picture of the bloody mess. He then stood up again and took a look at his surroundings. Right away, he noticed the missing leg from the dresser.
"Will, come look at this." Simon motioned for his brother to see the damaged furniture. Within a second, the pair had the image set in their heads. Whoever stabbed the girl with the wooden leg had broken it off the dresser. Will took out a small notebook from the inside pocket of his coat and jotted down useful information they would be presenting to their boss later. As Will did this, Simon walked around the small room, which began to reek of rotten flesh and old blood. The more skilled brother discovered a second bloodshed within a few feet from the first. He swiped his finger across the surface, realizing this blood was much less dense, meaning it was more recent.
"Was there a second victim?" Simon asked his younger brother.
"Yes, he was shot in the upper arm and just rushed to the ER." Will replied, scribbling on the empty space in his notebook.
"This is the twelfth dead girl found within this year. When we get back, let's find our killer before he hurts anyone else." Simon said, still staring at the bloodshed.
"Simon, what are you implying?" Will asked, finally leaving his attention from his writing.
"Can't you see it, Will? Every victim happens to be a female and they're always stabbed. Not to be stereotypical, but we should really check the male suspects list." Simon replied, taken back by his brother's slow progress.
"Perhaps our murderer is a rapist?" The stubby brother's idea seemed very possible, but Simon just knew it wasn't the answer.
"Will, remember the one suspect named Kim Taehyung? His parents supposedly died of unknown causes, but were found stabbed to death. He's never to be seen anymore and isn't enroll in any local schools." Simon brought up, trying to put the foreign clues together.
"Of course, brother. I'll call our assistants right now and ask if they could dig up any information we may have missed."
The two detectives knew of the boy's mysterious past but because he was so young at the time, they didn't do any further investigation. Now, they were almost certain he had something to do with the twelve deaths.
