I Never Would Have Guessed

Chapter 2: Eyepatch

General PVO ~
Rin ran as fast as his little legs could, but he wasn't fast enough.
Zara came up behind him and grabbed his little body.
He giggled furiously.
Zara pushed her nose into his navy blue hair, she laughed as his big sky blue eyes looked up into her dull green eyes.
She tickled him and he squealed with delight.

Suddenly something crashed on top of Zara causing her and Rin to tumble to the ground.
Zara looked up to see a giggling Yukio sitting on top of her, they were only 3 but they were strong, she was 7 and she enjoyed being older than them.

Rin crawled out from under Zara and jumped onto Yukio.

They continued wrestling for 5 more minutes before father Fugimoto called them for lunch.

They raced each other to the dining table. Zara, being oldest got there first, but she was closely followed by Rin and Yukio.
"What are we having for lunch dad?" They yelled in unison.
"Oh nothing, just my awesome curry!" He told them.

They yelled in delight and sat at the table, Shiro placed their lunch in front of them.

"Thanks for the meal!" They clapped their hands together.

They began eating.

After their meal they went out in to the garden and began playing hide and seek.

" I'll count first !" Zara yelled, Yukio and Rin agreed and began hiding
" 1.. 2..3...4..5...6...7..8..9..10! Ready or not im coming" Zara yelled as she began looking around for her 'brothers'
She looked in all the usual places but she couldn't find them.

"Achooo" a sneeze came from behind the cemetery.
"I got you now" she spoke to her self.

She ran over to the garden of grave stones and saw a small tuff of brown hair. Yukio.

She sneaked over to where she thought 'brothers' would be.

She carefully navigated through the tomb stone, trying not to step on any thing. Dead.

She made her way over to where her 'brothers' should be and ..

"Found you!" She yelled as she jumped over the tomb stone. And of course there they were.

Yukio looked up at Zara and once again sneezed.

Rin pushed Yukio softly, but it wasn't exactly soft, Yukio fell on to the stones with a grunt in pain.
Zara looked at Rin in shock.

"Rin why did you do that?!! What did he do?" Zara screamed at Rin as she helped pick up Yukio.

"It's all his fault!! This was the perfect spot and he ruined it!" Rin yelled at Zara

He suddenly picked up a handful of rocks and threw it at Yukio, but luckily Zara stepped in front of Yukio defending him with her body. She walked up to Rin and yelled. " DON'T YOU DARE DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT AGAIN!" Rin looked at her with scared eyes, but he quickly snapped out of it and glared at her, he curled his hands in to fists.

Time slowed.
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO YOUR NOT MY MUM!" Rin yelled, he drew his right arm upwards and punched Zara in her right eye. She had no time to stop it or to prepare herself.

She was sent across the stones by at least 2 meters and her landing wasn't graceful. She landed on her left arm and skidded another meter before finally stopping.

She let out a yell in pain and began whimpering.

Yukio glaced at Zara then Rin then back at Zara. Yukio ran back to the monastery to get father Fugimoto.
Rin stared at his fist, the one which he had just punched his 'sister' he looked at Zara with wet eyes. He ran over to Zara who was now clutching her right eye. She howled in pain.

"Are you OK? Zara are you OK? Im so so sorry. Ohh god can you ever forgive me?" Rin asked Zara.

But before she could answer Shiro came running out and began picking up Zara. He carried her back to the monastery.

Yukio and Rin followed shiro as he took her inside. Shiro placed Zara on the dining table and one of his helpers had grabbed the first aid kit. He began cleaning up the blood which was now pooling around her right eye.

After the blood had been removed father Fugimoto had put a medical Eyepatch over her right eye so she could see clearly. She was sent to her room and told to rest. But as she walked up the stairs she could hear Rin getting yelled at by shiro.

She continued walking though, she was too tired and sore to stand up for him, she shut her door and flopped on to her bed, her almost red hair spread across her body and bed. Within 2 minutes she was fast asleep.
